Ah, you gladden my heart with fond memories!

This is Psalm 109 (Latin Vulagte rendition)
I remember singing this set to Gregorian Chant back in the day.

Dixit Dominus Domino meo: sede a dextris meis,
The Lord said to my Lord: sit at My right hand,

donec ponam inimicos tuos scabellum pedum tuorum.
until I make your enemies your footstool.

Virgam virtutis tuae emittet Dominus ex Sion:
The Lord will send forth the sceptre of your power out of Sion:

dominare in medio inimicorum tuorum.
rule in the midst of your enemies.

Tecum principium in die virtutis tuae, in splendoribus sanctorum:
With you is the principality in the day of your strength in the brightness of the holy ones:

ex utero ante luciferum genui te.
from the womb before the day star I have begotten you.

Quite often, this is performed nowadays as Mozart's Vesperae solennes de Confessore KV 339 - 1780 [Psalms 109, 110, 111, 112, 116 and theMagnificat].

But I only wanted to celebrate somehow his 249th birthday

When Mozart passed away, he was buried in a churchyard. A couple days
later, the town drunk was walking through the cemetery and heard some
strange noise coming from the area where Mozart was buried.
Terrified, the drunk ran and got the priest to come and listen to it. The
priest bent close to the grave and heard some faint, unrecognizable music
coming from the grave. Frightened, the priest ran and got the town
magistrate.

When the magistrate arrived, he bent his ear to the grave, listened for a
moment, and said, "Ah, yes, that's Mozart's Ninth Symphony, being
played backwards."

He listened a while longer, and said, "There's the Eighth Symphony, and
it's backwards, too. Most puzzling."


So the magistrate kept listening; "There's the Seventh... the Sixth... the
Fifth..."

Suddenly the realization of what was happening dawned on the
magistrate; he stood up and announced to the crowd that had gathered in
the cemetery, "My fellow citizens, there's nothing to worry about. It's just
Mozart decomposing."

Would it be possible for anyone to translate this? Its a song I have to sing, and I find it hard to use expression if I don't know what I'm singing!!I tried to use an online on, but all I got was something about a man and a leafy stick
