I just figured that out, but I'm pretty sure I've stepped in that one at some point.

I've played maybe five times in the last month or so. A couple of games ago, I was winning handily until the person put down "invests" on the triple word score, LAST PLAY OF THE GAME. Grrr.

LionTamer - the two-way typo or the actually spelling of probBLY? Hahaha... or something else entirely?

I haven't played in probBLY a month.

Johnboy (aka poorpuppy on the scrabble thread) has gotten quite addicted to it. I have played folks from six continents and some 26 countries. I added Nigeria today. What is really cool is that 42 folks from all over the world have asked to be the poorpuppy's "Buddy." Either because they know it as easy win or they enjoy the chatting that we do.

Sure, Johnboy is competitive, but many times in the course of a game we start chatting and the scrabble becomes secondary. Poorpuppy is quite good at listening and it is amazing how many folks are eager to talk. Not deep dark secrets, but just little things that are going on in their lives or in their neighborhoods.

I would gently suggest that ff you have grown weary of the scrabble game becuase of the scores and the ratings thing, you see how many folks from around the world you can chat with while using the game, nominally, as the the basis.

What is a demo game?

I go in every now and then (more often when I was sick a couple of weeks ago, and couldn't talk or move around much). I always like to have a visit with realjohnboy if I can.
