Real bad ice storm hit the South, so I hear. Say, could this less than normal weather have anything to do with the Indian Ocean tsunami?

Sometimes it takes even the most knowledgable minds to make the connection between a cataclysmic event like that and climate systems world wide. When Krakatoa erupted back in the 19th Century, I've read there was black rain a-fallin' in Europe.

Upposedly it set off tsunami's and other assorted mayhem for a period of three years.

Balance. Everything seeks its' balance and if hell breaks loose on one side of the planet, it's got to balance itself out on the other. 1+1=2

It's pure ice outside. The roads and pavement are like a skating rink. We have only a few salt trucks here. The city is never prepared for this kind of thing.

A guy in a pick-up spun his wheels for ten minutes on the hill in front of the house here before finally cutting them and sliding backwards, onto the curb. I went out to see if he needed a phone and he was laughing and said that he knew he should not have come out but couldn't resist the challenge. Crazy.

You folks down there in Dixie don't know how to drive in this kind'a weather. We Yankees don't give it a second thought.

Nope. Didn't happen in the south. Saw that on the news early last week. I think it was somewhere in Ohio?

I'm not sure where it happened. Just taking a cheap shot at the southern drivers.

Andrew- no idea how to make it work for ya, but you would have led a richer and fuller life if you had seen it.

HOLY SMOKES! THE LIGHTS ARE A-FLICKERING!!

Take all the shots you want, sublime. It's pretty funny. It was so packed last night at the Kroger, there were no parking spaces in the lot. Every checkout was opened but the lines snaked down the aisles. This will all dissapate tomorrow when the temp climbs but people go into a panic down here.

I don't care how good of a driver you are or how far up north you learn to drive....nobody can drive on ice.

The trees are getting heavier with ice here, if the rain continues it could be an interest night and morning.
