Screw winter, this sucks.

I was thinking of cranking the heat up to 90, putting on some Jimmy Buffet, filling the apartment with sand, and making some kind of drink with an umbrella in it. That would be nice...

I still like it. Walking when it's snowing in the city, at night, is the best. The sound of the snow falling, the street-lights dimmed by the snow, it's all good.

On a positive note, this morning I finally found that Paris Hilton video I was looking for a while ago! Niiiiice.

"Do NOT go out today... every moron in the world is on the roads..."
Two women at a supermarket were that close to fisticuffs over the last gallon of 2% milk.

We remember the Blizzard of '78...

That's the word from the Casino Corridor here in Connecticut.

At 1 PM, the first flakes have yet to fall. The most frantic of the last-minute crowd are come and gone, now the roads belong to the drifty space cases... the kind that make left turns from the right lane.
Proceed at your own peril.

Stop the bitchin. Sad You should have been around for the 26 inch snow in 1947 around christmas time. Now that was a snow storm.

Arrgh! I hope the roads don't get so bad that you can't make it to town for a Wilson's hamburger. Very Happy

Made a batch of Macaroni and Cheese, found some second-hand fantasy paperbacks at Amazon, printed out some NYT's crosswords which can be solved by lamplight.

Nagged Mr. Noddy into setting up the kerosene stove and the generator. Bullied Dear Sweet Iffy out into the Inch-An-Hour Ladies' Comfort Station and Rest Room. Raided my To Read Shelf and picked out several paperbacks for cozy re-reading.

I'm busy as all get out, but I still have no control over the weather.

We are not amused.

Trust me, I lived in Rochester, NY for twenty nine years. I know. Every year there is at least one storm in that range. How do you think I got this way?

Ohhhhhhhhh you've definitely been to Findlay!

Not sure if you know where McComb is....but Tony's restaurant that used to be over there is now in Findlay. Anyways they have a Big Ben Burger Yummy! It's HUGE though. Part of the proceeds off of every sale they make goes to charity ...which is what Ben wanted in exchange for the use of his name I guess.

Anyways.....I make it over to Mansfield to the Richland Mall from time to time. I have a male friend that I shoot pool with that lives in New Washington and him and I truck on over to the Mall sometimes when I am over his way. (When I can grag him there. He hates to shop... Very Happy )

It's not about the music, it's about the attitude. Okay, how about I change that to Bob Marley, and a big fat joint?

I remember a blizzard..........I think that it was 1961. Mayor Lindsay did not allow cars on the road for about three days!

We already have several inches and it's still coming down hard. I shoveled the walk this morning and you can't even tell now. The plow has piled about two feet of frozen dirt behind the driveway so we won't be going out again today. Maybe now would be a good time to check the weather channel.

Yeah, this isn't so bad.

Here's what it looks like right now from my window. I love this digital camera!
