He's diabetic. Get your mind outta the gutter man!
I think that what Dag is referring to, is that in order to become a doctor, you have to spend many years, (and lots of money). As a result, many medical students are very single minded in the pursuit of their career.
Often, their social lives take a back seat to their studies. It has to, or they will never succeed in medicine.

oh, and they're science nerds
and don't necessarily have great social skills
but that's just my experience
but if you want one, go for it. maybe cute blonde's another kind of resident
Physician residents generally have much better social skills than surgical etc residents.
Some of them are fabulous!!!
dagmaraka wrote:she probably wouldn't be a resident yet. she must be only in medical school. which she has 5 years of, after college. after med school, she becomes M.D. -- a physician. Then she goes into residency - from five to six or seven years, depending on specialty. then she gets a license, becomes 'board certified', then she might do another fellowship or two in her specialty. by the time she's done with training, she will be ready to retire. the Monster (ex of 8 years) is 35 now and has another year of fellowship ahead of him. but your girl could be, ummm, 25, 26? ask her if she's 24, she'll be flattered.
Hmmm - then it is very different from here - here, physician training is another specialist training done after one has become a doctor - like surgery, ob-gyn etc.
One is a DOCTOR after one's first six years - but to become a PHYSICIAN one needs to do the years on top of that - depending on how long it takes one to pass the various exams.
How old is she Kicky?
I don't know how old she is. She looks like she's in her mid-twenties. I don't think anything will come of it, but I gave her my number so that we can meet sometime for a little "italian practice".
