If we already have 120,000 Iraqi troops effectively trained...
...as Condy Rice, George Bush's mechanical puppet, keeps insisting...
...what in hell are we still there for?
Hasn't anyone in the administration realized that our fighting men and women are still getting killed all over Iraq...
...and are not needed since we have now won this war...gotten rid of all the weapons of mass destruction...and have trained more than enough Iraqis needed to deal with any minor residual problems?
Why, considering all this....are we still there?
Hubris.
The Administration have not yet achieved the ending that they want.
It would be funny except.....
The native Iraqi institutions, such as their police, are probably not very well able to handle the forces challenging them such as the insurgents, warlords, etc. It would not be in the interests of the Iraqis to leave them with a situation they are not yet equipped to control. Any nation that makes war with the primary emphasis on removing its soldiers at the first conceivable instant, as opposed to putting the emphasis on accomplishing its goals, will probably not survive very long, certainly not as a world power.
