Orchid is an interesting word. The American Heritage Dictionary has this
to say aboout its etymolgy:
Quote:From New Latin Orchideae, family name, from Latin orchis, a kind of orchid,
from Greek orkhis, testicle, orchid (from the shape of its tubers).
So we could use the word
orchis for orchid, which could also be
translated "testicle" ("nomadic testicle" is an interesting concept, but
probably not suited to your particular project). Or we could use
orchidea
(the singular of
orchideae), which is really a scientific term brought into
use to classify the orchid family.
As for nomadic, there is a Latin word
nomas which refers specifically to a
nomadic people. There is also the word
vagrans, meaning "wandering".
So, your choice:
Orchis nomas
Orichidea nomas
Orchis vagrans
Orchidea vagrans
If it were me, I'd pick
Orchidea vagrans.
