Joanne,
I don't consider A2Kers to be strangers at all. My better half still doesn't quite get how I can spend as much time on the site as I do.
It's just not her cup of tea. I think once she gets to meet a bunch of you in person, she will be won over.
I am excited about this too.
LTX - you may need to warn Mrs. LTX. I'm a bit hug prone. I hugged Mrs. Frank and Mrs. JoeNation. I can't always resist the urge.
Duly noted.
You may hug at will.
Two of my college classmates (Class of '60) may join us Friday afternoon for the Russians.
Or they may not.
Fluidity is all.
Flowing.
Grooving.
Ready to break into song.
Hug, I love hugs, I need hugs. Will I get hugged?
I am ready to do the Gugg and Whitney with y'all.
hugs a-coming, JoanneD.
<anyone seen Lola? she has first dibs on my Friday afternoon museum time - since I kinda forgot about her last time in my demonstration-participating-excitement>
I'm sure that the Russians will SPEAK to Lola--and she will SPEAK back.
I know there are plans to go to the Pan when the gang gets here...
...but the truth of the matter is that it is getting colder and colder on the Pan as the days go by.
I'm sure we will visit.
But I am coming into town on Tuesday...and the weatherman says Tuesday will be a banner day....and evening.
I hope some of the New York gang stops by.
(I know the baseball playoffs are scheduled...but I'm hoping Joe will be able to stop for a beer and fries or some such.)
REMEMBER...it will be TUESDAY this week instead of THURSDAY for me.
It's this Tuesday for the in-towners. Just under three weeks for the out-of-towners. Ya think you and your roomie might slide in, l'k?
<i'll be there october 20 - 25, there are a number of variants on that theme>
Same for me Betheh. Leaving San Digoe on the 15th and returning on the 26th.
Arriving Thursday, 10/20, leaving Sunday, 10/23.
I made a point of having A Thursday.
Oops. Will not be in town today. Something came up. I still may come in on Thursday. Don't know for sure.
I'll be meeting the out of towners at the Chelsea Market later in the month.
Frank--
I'm looking forward to seeing you again.

As I am looking forward to seeing you, too, Noddy.
I'll be going to the unveiling of cav's monument the week after we meet in NYC. If anyone would like to bring a small stone for me to leave at the cemetery, please bring it along.
<what's that in your suitcase ma'am? rocks. really.>
Wow, that is such a kind offer Beth eh. I will have to find a special stone treasure for you to leave in Cav's honor. I picked up some really great rocks in AZ and UT this summer.
