Joanne...I will eventually get back to you on the dates thing. I've been so busy in other theads, I haven't had time to handle this.
Are we allowed to swear here?
Because you know I am.
Anger is a form of sorrow.
EhBeth--
Dumb question (because I don't know the answer):
Is a pebble 1 1/2" x 1" by 1/4 inch too large? It comes from the Scottish seacoast.
If this pebble is overly ostentatious, I have several smaller rocks with good histories.
Noddy, that sounds like a perfectly sized pebble.
<now where do we think I put the lil rock from yesterday? is it loose in the hatch of the car? am I going to go out in the rain to check? I know the answer to one of those questions.>
Noddy - let's plan to have a very healthy adult beverage in two weeks less a day. And in two weeks. And in two weeks plus a day.
EhBeth--
Jespah said it well on Joanne's official mourning thread.
She was one of our own.
We will remember her.
ehBeth and Noddy,
I am right there with you.
We will hug. And then some.
A toast to all of our friends, absent and present.
<nodding>
That will help enormously.
I'm hoping that the weather in New York in two weeks will be much like it is in Toronto today.
Quite cool - very sunny. Leaves changing colour. Perfect Central Park walking weather - gotta look up where those street festivals are again.
EhBeth--
From your lips to God's ears--although when it comes to weather, the ways of the gods are strange.
Oh dear........I'm so behind here. What is planned? Are we getting together at our house (apartment) for a party? If so, let's do it on Saturday night. I have to be away until Friday night late (Oct. 21).
I'm sorry I don't have time to read back. Will someone fill me in on the important details......or get me page numbers to read?
Lola--
A party on Saturday night sounds lovely. You are very sweet to offer.
As the Agenda Accumulates:
Thursday afternoon: Assemble at Chelsea Market and ramble. Possibly Chelsea Galleries. Wind up at the Frying Pan.
Friday morning: Cooper Hewlett for the Extreme Textile Exhibit.
Friday lunch: Knishes.
Friday afternoon: The Russians at the Guggenheim. We/I may be joined by two or three of my college classmates.
Saturday: Possibly the Memorial Labyrinth at Battersea Park.
Possibly a Street Fair
Possibly drenching monsoon storms and inside activities.
Saturday night: Lola and Bernie Open House
a slight variation on my agenda
I've promised my colleague a trip on the Staten Island Ferry for Friday morning - followed by the labyrinth in Battery Park. We'll zoom up for knishes and the afternoon museum.
Saturday - street fair a.m. (I think the Washington Square Park one looks promising - will try and get more info), followed by another museum in the p.m. <perhaps>
the idea of a Saturday evening in the den of iniquity (sp?) is glee-inspiring.
Lola, this afternoon, while my friend B and I were in Little India, I was trying to figure out if I could pack a Ganesh for you - realized I'm just not up to carrying something that big around town - here, or there. Found lots of Noddy-tops in Maharani's. Noddy, we've got to find out if there is a Little India in Manhattan.
Lola - I still owe you an afternoon (at a museum, or Filene's?).
I'm game for Thursday's events...and for Saturday.
Just lemme know the timing of the Chelsea Market meet.
I'm contacting Lola about Saturday in a PM.
Hooray! just connected with Squeedleboink. He'll likely be coming into town en famille on Sunday! whoooooooohoooooooooooo.

Frank, what time is good for The Frying Pan? would it be too early to get there around 5 <I think I'd like to get there before sundown>. The Chelsea Market timing works backward by a few hours from when we're going to The Frying Pan.
Oh! Give him a smooch for me, will you????
