Ok then we will dance in the street. No one will probably notice.

I got the date, place, etc - but wot about the time? Of course I am only half way through my 1st cuppa coffee.

we need Frank to tell us what time The Frying Pan thingie usually happens, so we can work back from there.

Looking forward to the dancing!

Meanwhile, a few hot-dog freaks (namely us) have been in a lather recently over the exquisite brats (especially the buffalo-jalapeƱo-and-Cheddar) made by Terry Miller of Fort Collins, Colorado, and somehow served under the radar at Shake Shack, Danny Meyer's Madison Square Park burger joint. They will be on more prominent display at Shake Shack's Shacktoberfest event next month, and just when you thought life couldn't get any better, Meyer has decided to extend the Shack's season until December.

Great link. Gives me ideas.

I'm gonna need to work out several osso walking tours re my own interests, just for fun. They'll never happen just that way, if for no other reason than that I keep hearing about new stuff to see, or new old stuff to see. Wish NYC was closer or I were more well funded for just dropping into town.

I thought I saw our Lola today. A beauty driving a fancy car with top down by Lindgburgh Field.

But I decided it couldn't be - or was she here in San Diego instead the City?

Bree will you be attending? These A2k folks are fun and funny. If you are in the City is should be a breez for you to attend.

I'd love to get together with you guys at some point, but I can't join you at the Frying Pan on Thursday because I have a piano lesson on Thursday evenings. As for the rest of the weekend -- I might as well come right out and admit this -- my availability depends on the baseball schedule, and whether or not the Yankees are still playing. (At the moment, that seems more likely than it did a couple of weeks ago.) I know that sounds silly, but trust me, you would not want to be around me at a social event if the Yankees were playing a post-season game and I wasn't able to watch it.

Hoping some of you/us meet Bree sometime, dammit.

Knocking my own teeth for not contacting her when I was there - I was close to doing that, and also contacting JoeNation, but let it go as those I did contact naturally thickened my plans.

Mac, I bet you could work up Mac tours like I could work up osso tours.

I think Joanne and I will meet sometime, but more likely in the southwest.

Noddy, I admit it never occurred to me to contact you when I went to NYC, not thinking you were anywhere near. Stupid, I just should have posted a thread. I know why I didn't, I really did have business there, and my own program to see, for example, the Met as much as I wanted.

And way way way never thought I could meet ehbeth by mentioning I was going to NY. Now I know better.

And now there's Angelique, I'd like to meet her.

OK, I'll be quiet for a while. Carry on.

Osso--

Life is too short to regret missed opportunity. Besides, we're both pledged to create an opportunity--perhaps in NYC, perhaps in NM.
