The trick to the Guggenheim is to take the elevator to the top and spiral down. Unless you are in your teens and need to burn off energy.

I love it when a plan comes together.

< having this fantasy of Noddy on one arm, Beth on the other, tuxedoed. Leading from the Cooper to Harvey's Knish Barn to the Guggenheim.>

Off to sleep now.

I'm trying to convince Mrs. Lion that she should join us.

She feels like she would be intimidated.

Help me.

I can just about guarantee she would not feel intimidated after two minutes. None of us are any more intimidating than the "lion" in your avatar. In fact, most of us are pussycats.

LionTamer--

Suggest to her that a man of wit and charm--such as yourself--could easily be given a Mickey Finn and sold into the White Slave Trade were he not accompanied by a woman who had his best interests at heart.

Exactly what is a Knish Barn? It sounds delicious.

"Extreme Textiles" will include surgical fabrics, ropes that groan before they break, carbon fibers that may be used for building skyscrapers, and the super-tough air bags that cushioned Pathfinder when it landed on Mars.

Think "Clotho, Lachesis and Atropos meet John Carter, Captain Kirk and Conan the Barbarian."

I've been looking for a long time for a recipe for Gelson's spinach knish - not sure they called it a knish. Alas, the old stuff is sold no more and now they have a corporate chef.

Their spinach thingies were some mix of spinach and this and that inside a baked crust. They cost something like $1.25. Really good...

Obviously Knishes have dough--batter of some sort.

What else is in the nature of the knish?

I have a vague notion of potatoes.

Osso--

We cross posted.

Spinach could be delicious--not that my first proper knish could be anything but.

Picture Region Philbus's green pellets with dough clutching the edges. I am not sure if it was spinach and slight cottage cheese, or what... anyway, they were wonderful and now gone, gone, gone.

Italians make a spinach ricotta torta, I suppose I should look into that. My ex and I overdosed on one from a small torta parlor - whatever they called it - and never did have dinner in Venice, Italy, due to over-stuffedness.

toronto has some good jewish restaurants. they even a jewish dairy restaurant - no meat served at all - lovely food.
we stayed at "grossinger's" in the catskill mountains some years ago for a convention of auditors - still have one of the menus - great food - you could have pickled herring for breakfast - right up our alley !
the american attendees were not very happy - no bacon for breakfast !
if i can have a pickled herring , i don't need bacon ! hbg

One of the wonderful things about aspiring to being a Woman of the World is that one can gorge on all sorts of delicious food--manditory indulgence.
