Booked a place through craigslist.
About 5 blocks from blatham and Lola.

Just across the street (almost) from the phone booth I called JoeNation from, when Noddy and I were dodging April showers <kitty corner to MOMA>.

That was the Palace, on 57th. Deli may be the wrong word - hole in the wall breakfast place.

I'm interested in both how you end up liking the place, since that is an area I would like to stay in on my next trip, and what you looked under in Craig's List, which I haven't explored yet. Is there a hotel section, or what?

So, I booked the time, the flight, the rooms in Buffalo and NYC - and then I showed my co-traveller some pix from get-togethers in this thread.

She'll be giggling for a while.

Fun times ahead.

My twin brother's wife is going to begin going through some pretty serious treatments for a problem just found, so they are going to come visit before that... and they're bringing another couple too (we're all lifelong friends). They'll arrive 18th or 19th.

Fierce.
We look fierce as we arrive.

Then again, they probably think the boys own the place already.

LionTamer--

Perhaps a November Thursday, combined with Christmas shopping?

You're not all that far away.

Noddy,
November is Thanksgiving at the beach with my family.
Easter, Halloween, and Christmas are the visits to New Jersey with Mrs. Lion's folks.
Good idea though. I do miss the hustle and bustle of NYC during the holidays.

ehBeth,

Mrs. Lion is on board for the museum/snack/museum date if her mom does not need her assistance preparing for the high holiday of pumpkin carving/caroling.

Yes, we sing pumpkin carols.

zoomin' good times abound.
