Thomas - having had the pleasure of meeting Lola on a couple of occasions I can vouch for the fact her legs are even better-looking than the ones pictured in her avatar.

See you all (men, that is) here whenever the paramedics have pronounced you OK to leave intensive care Smile

She does have lovely legs. It's unfortunate they are on upside down, but who gets everything they wish for.

you guys.......I'm getting embarrassed.........it's the lags, it's always the lags.............

None of you have actually seen my uncovered legs, but thank you anyway HofT, it's much appreciated......well none have seen but one and he better not tell the truth.....I agree a myth is sometimes preferable to the truth. And we can leave it at that. (But they are not on upside down either.)

We'll be waiting for your call Frank. Bernie is an "if" for tomorrow......he may be working and I may have to meet y'all after 4:15, I'm waiting for a confirmation of an appointment....but I'll be there.

Such a Horrid Fate puts me in two minds about inviting myself to an NYC Thursday. I prefer vicarious living.

Yeah...I just got home.

Blatham and I met in Bryant park...sat and talked about a bunch of shyt...and we ogled the many, many fine women sunning themselves on the park green.

Then we hooked up with Lola and went to the Frying Pan....the lightship anchored at the Chelsea Piers. They have food and drinks...and tonight it was blasting. People all over the place. Huge party.

Joe Nation joined us for a while and explained how the world would be a better place if all the people would do as he does.

Great time. Great commraderie. Lots of fine chicks at the Frying Pan also.

Gotta go to bed. Early start at Warrenbrook Golf Course in the AM.

Let's see... show up late, let them buy beer. Check.
Show interest in surroundings.... size of hooters on blond... Check.
Listen intently while others review entire political history of Northern America
(Believe me, between Lola and Blatham and Frank, there is more political memory than could be contained on a 256MB chip.)
Nod, but do not nod off. Check.

Attempt to say something. Note looks on faces.
Make note not to say anything else out loud. Check.

Dash off.

Pretend to be shy.

Joe(I walked up to 49th and Eighth to meet L for dinner)Nation

PS I owe you a beer, bernie.

as soon as i read that, the following got stuck in my head...

Conjunction Junction, what's your function?
Hooking up phrases and clauses that balance, like:
Out of the frying pan and into the fire.
He cut loose the sandbags,
But the balloon wouldn't go any higher.
Let's go up to the mountains,
Or down to the sea.
You should always say "thank you",
Or at least say "please".

No, I saw a blurb on it in the Daily News. It's easy to miss things here in the big city. Last night, Tom Cruise and his hot hot hottie were at the Ziegfeld Theatre prancing, so the news reports said, and dancing and smooching all over the red carpet. Thousands were there to watch. I walked within 200 yards of the affair and didn't see or hear a thing.

I didn't see or hear a thing, officer.

I did stumble onto the Clinton Neighborhood Garden. (They have a website that I did not put in my Palm Rolling Eyes ) It is a verdant little spot of benchs and walkways, flowering plants and birdsong at dusk. If a key holding member is inside anyone, even me, can come in, sit, rest, look up at the bluish white sky. Oh, look. It's the bluish white sky.

Weatherwise, probably ideal, particularly early in the month before the holiday madness arrives. Brisk but not brutal--of course you'd be brutal right back.
