I'll never talk to this young "lady" again.

Just having some coffee and cake now at pier 17 - then ferry and more sightseeing (with a guided tour I booked to see some touristic stuff as well).

Penn Station is just two stops away from my place and I nearly invented trains and timestables!!!

Thanks for the link! Am in DC right now but expect to be in NY tomorrow and stay for a few days - best way to contact me is by e-mail at my ecoute_sauvage account with yahoo - not sure if Walter gets his e-mails while in town, but I did answer him. Whoever else is here (ehBeth? anyone else?) is my guest for drinks tomorrow p.m.

Pls post here if your e-mail isn't answered withing a few hours - can't always access it from work computers without changing firewall specs, which takes forever. Really look forward to seeing you all - and in case you haven't heard - also to convey regrets and a warm welcome from Lola and Blatham.

I'm leaving tomorrow, HS, for Boston but returning on Friday noonish at Penn Station.
(If you had emailed me, I might have deleted that email Crying or Very sad )

----------

Weather forecast this morning was sunny, showers from noon onwards, heavy thunderstorms later.

I took my umbrella with me and so it stayed dry and sunny all the day.

Made a bus tour of six hours, saw all the major touristic sides (just in case, ehBeth is going shopping with me all the other days) and listened more than an hour to a dixieland band in Washinton Square Garden. For free, so I bought to cd's for .... $15 (cheaper than buying one single musican, I think).

Acted as an actor for a tv show early in the morning at Union Square: the were looking for .... I don't know for whom, but they even would take Germans and Penny the producer said. So I walked three times with Penny and five times without her along the pavement - for a national health show (sic!).

walter may not have realized that they'll probably use him for one of those "before" and "after" advertisements for a miracle cure .
they'll show walter and thereafter show some healthy looking buck with the tagline :
"before taking XYZ treatment he looked like .... , after taking our new wonder treatment for only for two weeks he has become a healthy member of the human race - only $19.95 - but if you buy right now we'll include for free a set of ginzu knives ! " Laughing Rolling Eyes
have fun , walter !

I saw that in the River to River program. Thought it would be over already.
The whole River to River concept is great - really good programming.

My travel companions will be waking up in 4 hours Shocked

I pick them up in about 6 hours.

I think I should try and get some sleep.

Still wondering if Uncle George came through in Boston.

Cool

Was there ever any doubt?
The birthday boy now has his long wished-for gift.
(Perhaps a bit smaller than he wanted.)

Walter has been armed (or headed) for resistance to the dangers of Sin City.

Thanks Uncle George!

The Canajun contingent has landed, stocked up on water and Hawaian Black Sea Salt at Trader Joe's.

We're having fun in the big city!
