Laughing at you harrumphing yourself. Laughing

I arrive Friday 6/8 mid-afternoon. I figure that it will be 4:30 or 5 before I'm checked in to the hotel. Wherever y'all are at that point, I hope to join you!

I'd like to get in on whatever's going on Saturday morning and Sunday evening too.

I depart Monday a.m. 6/11.

Will you have a cellphone, bethie? Seems like that was an issue on your last visit.

Since I have the same accomodation as ehBeth ...

Oh, no - it wouldn't be the best idea to phone me on my cell phone: it would be a call to Germany [and back] :wink:

Cell phones. Always an issue.
I've got one. Eugenie's got one. Brenda's got one.
None of us have a U.S. service plan.
Which means $2 - $5 per minute!

We're discussing the options.

~~~~~~
mac11, the gang of out-of-towners could work our way toward your hotel lateish Friday afternoon. I'm going to do some mapping, isn't there a good park nearby?
I'll send a p.m./email tap to the locals as well.
Galaxy Cafe might be a good option. Exploring further.
And nearer.
Beth, Are you still planning that boat-party thing?
BTW, that lunch tasting menu looks tres divine but is too pricey for me.
Are you still planning a party in Central Park? Will there be one gathering for the whole meshpooka, so to speak?
I need Frankie to figure out the boat-party thingie.
I'm still looking at Sunday morning for Central Park.
Chime in with your dates/times/preferences! Eugenie/Brenda and I are game to meet you whenever/wherever works for you. Eugenie and I have a yen for Hot and Crusty or Chirping Chicken on Lexington.
I need to find a good source for cupcakes/cake for Sunday morning. mac11's birthday is on Monday, and I have a significant birthday the following Monday. We need to acknowledge those with something that doesn't involve carrot sticks or lettuce.
Today and Good Morning America Host Free 2007 Summer Concert Series
This summer, Today and Good Morning America are locked in a death match for #1 in the ratings. In the battle for your attention, both morning news shows are sponsoring free summer concert series featuring big-name artists.
The good news: Free concerts featuring a wide range of artists including Fergie, Hilary Duff, Fall Out Boy, Maroon 5, Bon Jovi, Rihanna, Blondie with Lily Allen, John Mayer, Patti LaBelle, and many more.
The bad news: You have to get up really early. Shows start at 7:00 A.M.
The 2007 Today Show Summer Concert Series will take place Friday mornings (and on some special additional dates as indicated in the schedule below) on the plaza at Rockefeller Center (between 49th and 50th St. near 5th Ave.). The Friday shows start at 7:00 A.M., but plan to arrive no later than 6:00 A.M. if you want a decent view.
Either of these places would be fine with me. You're the busy ones. My schedule is open. Let me know when, and I'll show up. Are you planning to be in the neighborhood for some other reason?
Either we make a plan before you get here, or we make a plan for a time for you to call me. I'll arrange to be by the phone. This was our problem last time. You called; I was sleeping. No way to call you back. This ain't gonna happen again!
What might Chirping Chicken be? I can't imagine...
As to the b-day celebrating, doesn't have to be sweet, ya know. I think a birthday knish sounds wonderful.
I don't want to disturb you - but is there a tiny possibility that I join you all for the one or other event? I mean, ehBeth had somehow promised to dress me up to her/you females' high demands and I might even follow her advice!
