I remember that once KP went to Boston and nobody came to the boozer to meet him. Many were in the loop, but all were washing their hair that week. Apparently.

I think it's something to do with a lingering folk memory, something about a certain Tea Party.

And you sell the brew nowadays by the name of coffee, right?

If you're speaking of my company's cafeteria, probably so.

Walter,
At the Chicago gathering I overheard you telling Thomas in German that American coffee is merely "heisses Wasser". Had you forgotten that I understand German?

Steak today, grilled nicely. Green beans and mashed potatoes. One orange juice, and two heisses Wasser.

Okay moving out of PA tomorrow, headed for CT by way of the Poconos by the Delaware Water Gap scenic area. It's all very nice here, and the weather today was simply spiffing.

The weather is forcast now to get a lot cooler & wetter, so I've been very lucky.

Now it's time for another one of those famous American calorific meals.

Now steady on there McTag with those calories! Actually, just jealous  My chef has gone awol and so I'm stuck on salads Sad

Off to sunny but decidedly cold Bradford tomorrow. The temperature has suddenly dropped here - had to scrape ice off your car this morning to get mine out of the garage, but we are assured that these are normal temperatures for this time of year. Normal! What's that?

Keep on trekking, keep happy and keep safe

Ice, you say? Egad. I was sunbathing in temperatures of about 68-70 today, in the lovely sylvan setting of Lackawanna State Park.

Looking forward to meeting Noddy24 tomorrow, and also to staying ahead of that cold front coming in from Dakota.

McTag, duely hugged and fortified with two pancakes and just a bit of maple syrup, is headed north to Connecticut.

He's a charming man--and quite good looking with a wry and tactful eye about American follies.

Charming and quite good looking eh!

There will have to be a little bit of reconditioning when McTag returns. Can't have him getting big headed!

Fiona--

He mentioned your name in between bites of pancake--and he cut those pancakes into small pieces. He's a charmer.
