You looked great, Lola. Good to see you back. The shop look absolutely first class...and anyone visiting the Big Apple should stop by at 78th and York for a look see.

I see you and Spendi are back at it in that other thread.

Go easy on him!

As for "the other Bernie"...the guy is an as shole, pure and simply. Nobody is likely to mistake him for the Bernie we both know and love, because...

...because...

...ah...

...jeez, maybe they might.

Gotta go back to calling our friend Bernie, Blatham!

Since I've been on vacation for about a week, my brain's gone into not-so-functioning.

I think I've booked the week following Canadian Thanksgiving (October 9th) off, with the end of that week (Thursday to Sunday) booked for New York. However, I could be off by a full week. Who knows?

I'm too relaxed to be able to figure it out Very Happy

I'll sort it out a bit later next week.

hmmmmm, maybe I should check at Taunton to find out when the foodies are getting together ... oh, yup ... roughly the 12th to 15th of October

Speaking of which, I'll be in New York from November 3--11. Any chance you can extend so our trips overlap? (My own flight, sorry to say, is already booked and not re-bookable.)

Would you care to join us the evening of Nov 7? (general election)

Would anyone/everyone else?

We'll treat it like a World Cup football game. Party big for a win, leap off balcony on a lose.

Can I have your apartment if Lola and you leap off the balcony? I like it a lot.

It never fails -- I always seem to have a conflict when you guys get together. I have a theater ticket (Grey Gardens) on November 7. I deliberately chose that date so I wouldn't have to stay home and watch the election results.

Not on this trip, unfortunately -- the flight back is booked too.
