Did you find Artie's? Did you see the other two links?

We'd found Artie's, AE - that was what the pastrami on a burger comment was about :wink:

I was off exploring Teany when you posted the next two. Now, a mug of tea later, and two dogs back in the house, and I can keep looking.

<and thanks for the links>

Artie's menu reads "delicious". I haven't had a good tongue sandwich for a long time.

The problem for me is that I'd be going from the Cooper-Hewitt at 5th Ave and 91st St. to Artie's on the West Side and then back to the Guggenheim.

Both museums will mean walking and standing and my bad leg has been a little troublesome today. (This is the last weekend with decent weather and I must plant my spring bulbs.

I can always meet you people at the Guggenheim.

That wild green chocolate drink probably had green tea, or green tea ice cream and a chocolate syrup - looked ghastly, was delicious.

For future reference if anyone intrigued and nearby,

Noddy,
Maybe we could grab you a couple of knishes to go.
A girl needs her strength, after all.

Osso--

I've printed out the tea room information. I'm an International Glutton.

I'm betting that a Knishpuppy has been ecumenically sired by Arnie's Deli on Southern Fish Fry and that the offspring require a lot of deep fat.

I expect a full report.

I'm keeping everything very flexible right down, except for getting the bulbs in the ground today.

LTX--

We cross posted.

I may take you up on that offer. If nothing else, touring the Treasures of the Tzars from the Winter Palace with a doggy bag smelling like a Jewish Deli would add another dimension to the exhibit.

Thank you.

I am watching this thread, and I am so jealous. I can't wait to come back to NYC. I had such a great time with you all last summer. I think that next year I will stay a longer time. As soon as I begin to absorb the NY ambience, I am rushing off home again. I really need more time in the Big Apple, to energize me!

I'm reckoning on temperatures in the 60's with fitful sunshine and the occasional shower.

Of course we deserve Glorious Indian Summer, but I'm used to my magnificence going unrewarded.

Crossing my fingers that all goes smoothly....

Doin' my best.

Transferring phone numbers/real names/possible meeting times and places to a little notebook.
Staring down battery chargers for camera/phone.

Getting ready to go to a lecture/concert tonight.
Trying to pack up the dogs' luggage without them getting suspicious Confused

~~~~~~~~
The friend I'm travelling with - her mother died last weekend.
It has somehow intensified her desire to do the Staten Island Ferry trip.
Reminds me a bit of how important the New York trip became to me after cav died.
