Hey guys! I m 20 and i have feelings for the brother of a good friend.
I was thinking to offer him 12 "gifts" for the 12 days of christmas, and maybe say at the end who am I, maybe not.
He is 24. Do you think it s a good idea, or is it strange?
I m french by the way, so sorry for my english!
@Lealab,
Sounds a bit weird and creepy.
If you're interested in him, talk to him, invite him out to a coffee or a visit to a museum or something like that.
@ehBeth,
Yeah but my friend will definitely not appreciate
I mean yes of course usually i do that but now situation is a bit different
@Lealab,
If it is your belief that your friend will not appreciate you talking to her brother and asking him out, then what makes you think she will appreciate you sending him gifts with the obvious goal of making him aware that you are interested?
Seems to me to be no difference, so why not take the direct approach. Maybe talk to your friend ahead of time to see if it would really bother her.
@Lealab,
Why does it matter what your friend thinks about it?
If you're interested in the guy, ask him out.
Do you know he can accept these gifts? Is he single? (Unattached)?
How will your friend feel? Does she know you have eyes for her brother?
12 gifts is excessive as an introductory gesture. Ask him for coffee and give him some candy. You need to know him better before giving him such an overwhelming gift for 12 days.
@PUNKEY,
Yes he is single. Actually we know pretty good each other, but he always saw me as his sister's friend so i would like to try to change this. She knew about but now she thinks that i switched to another guy
@Lealab,
Why would she think that? ( you are distracted by another guy)
If you are honest about pursuing this guy then let her know and then conduct a sensible approach to getting to know him in another role other than his little sister's friend.
He is 24! Perhaps the age gap is too much.
Think about it.
