They belong in everyone's emergency kits..... I even have a true story along a similar line. In about 1981 I was on the side of Mount Aconcagua in Argentina. They were in another civil war period at that time and this was real backwards territory at that time. All of a sudden, our water hose sprung a pretty bad leak. The driver went into a local store and bought a type of fruit rollup snack. I knew this would never work, but let him try anyways. Voila, for some reason, when this stuff was put on the hose, the combination of air and water crystallized the candy and it held so we could get all the way back to Medellin. Of course, we only made it about 70-80% up the side of the mountain but decided not to go to the top. No more people up there!
