Look it up on Yahoo maps folks. It may be gentrified now, but when I was living there, it was party central for both BU and BC. Halfway between. "The student ghetto".

What about Mapquest?

I'm wondering if Mapquest will suffice.

Please hurry with a response.

Actually, Mapquest often sucks. I have a daughter who plays competitive soccer, and when we play away games, the people who use Mapquest are always getting lost. Yahoo maps seem to work better, at least in our area. Me, I just follow people with NAV systems.

You do what's right for you.

I useta go to Jack in the Box (some truly yummy breaded zucchini thingies) and In and Out Burger a fair amount when I lived in CA. Which one had the commercial, "Don't bother me, I'm eating"? I always thought that was the quintessential L.A. ad.

Wendy's is huge here (stopped at one on the way home from the zoo, idly looked at paraphernalia, realized it was THE ORIGINAL Wendy's..! International headquarters down the road a bit), that's where we usually go when we do the fast-food thing. McDonald's has better playgrounds though.

Looked it up, zucchini thingies were Carl's Jr. (stupid name, always bothered me). Mmm. The zucchini fools you into thinking it's at least a tiny bit healthy and it's so not, but yum.

I'm totally with eoe + co. about moderation.

Thanks! That's the kind of little thing that bothers me, until I find out for sure.

E.G. and I still say that.

Mapquest told me it would be something like 12 hours from Eureka/Arcata to Inverness, out by Tomales Bay. Nah. More like six, with lunch.

I don't know if you have ever heard this Montana, but the fish filet is actually supposed to have more fat than most of the other sandwiches. The reason for this is the sauce on the filet, so if you are like Slappy and order it without the sauce, it is about the worst thing for you on the menu. So even though fish sounds healthy, it is the sauce that kills you.

It's a good thing that I almost never go then ;-)

Setanta's former boss went to school with Wendy. The real Wendy. Interesting stories about hangin' out at her house after school, with dad making sandwiches for all the kids - seeing what they liked.

you forgot to put a vote for once in awhile. It's rare for me to eat there but occasionally nothing satisfies like Mickey Dees fries fresh from the fryer and a quarter pounder.

That's what I like too BP. The trick is to order the quarter pounder without one of the standard ingredients, then they have to make it fresh for you. I bet you know that though.

Same thing with the fries. Tell them you need fries without salt - they'll make you a special order. Setanta tried it here once. They cleaned everything those fries was going to touch - they were amazing (he added salt later, of course  )

I sometimes special order small burgers at Wendy's. I don't tell them they're for the dogs Cool - the dogs get burgers that have never been under a heat lamp.

I pulled the trigger today.

Because of a long drawn call this morning, I was running late to an appointment on the other side of the state. My options were either: 1) wait until after the appointment(that wasn't going to happen), or 2) get something in a drive-thru, off the MA Pike...which leaves me to one option.

Also, since I was driving, and don't want to make a mess out of myself and the car, a grilled chicken sandwich isn't gonna work. So I got a 10-pc chicken McNugget meal with fries.

I'M SUCH A LOSER!!!! I'M WORTHLESS! I'm just going to sit here and drown my sorrows by eating a pint of Ben and Jerry's and looking through pictures of my ex-girlfriends.

We used to take our dog to Sonic on her birthday!

Ummmm. Sonic.

What I wouldn't give for a cherry limeade about now.

Are you sure you're not a girl, Slappy?

The only thing that would make that visual worse would be if you told us you were also watching Friends.
