@OldGrumpy,
How would you explain the Red Shift? Why doesn't it give evidence of an expanding universe?

@hightor,
simple, starlight goes through billions of light-years of various gases, plasmas and fields before they reach the telescope. That by itself can explain the red shift. see e.g. Compton Effect

Good!

One thing is agreeing that nobody understands how 'something' can come out of 'nothing".

Another thing entirely is the conclusion that the Big Bang is a lot of hogwash and nonsense.

You're making leaps of logic.

@InfraBlue,
Of course he making leaps over the many steps in between. It’s all he’s got.

When someone does this, I assume they know they are being ridiculous, and just want to see others waste their time pointing it out over and over.

I’m done.

@chai2,
I don't think they necessarily do. When JTT first came back as Camlok, before I twigged who he was he started going on about 9/11, just kept pming me stuff even after I told him I wasn't interested. He only stopped when I threatened to report him.

I don't doubt he believed that bollocks.

The answer is both simple and apparently ridiculous. Nothing exists before creation. OK- but before there was THAT which creates is only potential. It is a paradox, imagine the decimal point it is everywhere but has no location representing zero as a state of infinite potential.
This is the conclusion of some philosophies, as in Leibnitz with the Monad and monads.
What follows is the presence of the divine spark in everything created, to be sought in the mystical quest of self realization in Yoga.

Bye Bye Big Bang — The Song

Throw out all that phony stuff;

It can't be good enough.

Bye Bye, Big Bang.

Truth and science is for you;

Cosmic nonsense just won't do

Bye Bye, Big Bang.

None of them can know

Or understand it.

Oh, what awful garbage

They all hand out.

Use your head and think it through;

You'll arrive at the truth.

Bye Bye, Big Bang.

@CM130,
The Big Bang is only an expression for something we do not understand. We love naming things. There is a paradox here, before the event there was really nothing, because there had been no creation. We say at the Fiat Create by this Intelligence different levels of creation occurred. But this is a contradiction as there was no time, and so it was like a Big Bang.
