@OldGrumpy,
Ros and others can understand concepts that you can't.

Yours is the constant refrain of the primitive mind, I don't understand it so it can't be true.

@izzythepush,
Maybe, but can you then understand how something exploded into 'nothing"?

Does bgelieving in non-sense make you vlever then?!

Just one simple question, explain to me how 'something' came out of 'nothing", Thank you.

@OldGrumpy,
Why would I want to waste my time doing that?

I don't care what you believe or don't believe. Nor do I give a damn what you understand, which judging by your execrably poor English isn't that much.

If you really want the basic education you so desperately need you're going to have to pay for it, and even then there's a limit to how far things can be dumbed down.

@izzythepush,
so, basically you can't explain how 'something' came from 'nothing"

Good!

Well, nobody can.

@izzythepush,
no no, be fair now, it is just your cheap way of getting out.

Tell me, how to get 'something' out of nothing. Give it a try.

@OldGrumpy,
Tell you what, here's something for you to do. Why not say why you feel you can understand something as complex as quantum physics when you can't even construct a basic sentence?

When you've give a satisfactory answer I'm sure people will explain things to you, but we both know I've got more chance of teaching a frog to play the banjo than you have of answering that question.

@izzythepush,
so you can't explain it, that's ok but just say so. don't digress with the stupidity of Quantum Bollocks thank you. Btw are you always like this?

@OldGrumpy,
Ooh. I love this game! It's the 'non-sense' game. So basically, how it goes is that you actively disbelieve anything you cannot confirm with your own eyes. It's great! Let's give some examples.

1. Vaccination? I don't believe in vaccination! Never seen one of them little tikes get sick from one of them diseases these vaccinations supposedly 'protect' them from! Vaccinations are non-sense!
2. Climate change? I don't believe in climate change! Through the year I see the same sort of weather I see all the time, so there ain't no change! And what's this ozone layer thing they are talking about, huh? It's all non-sense, I tell you!
3. History? What on earth is that? I was never there to live through it, so how do I know it was there? Just because some strange men tell me that it happened so? Bollocks! We all know that there was no moonlanding, that Elvis made a conspiracy with JFK to fake both their deaths and they are now living as Russian Oligarchs in the Krim, and the pyramids were just landing beacons for the god UFO's. Pfah. History? Non-sense, I tell you!
4. Other human beings with brains? Clearly, they're all dumb as posts! Listen to all the stoopidheads going on and on and on about climate change, and vaccinations, and the Big Bang. They're either not real, or they were all defective drones without a brain. Thankfully, I am a genius with an IQ well over 3000, no matter what them IQ tests say: those were made by stoopidheads anyways. So, any intelligence on this planet outside my own? Non-sense!

@najmelliw,
The funny thing is, now you are putting words in my mouth I have never said or written. What logical fallacy was that? hmmm, well you know....

So nothing valid in your above posting.

And btw can you keep in on the subject at hand, can you explain or understand how something came out of 'nothing" Would be great if you can!

I don't think it is possible at all.

How amusing this is. I never said that you said these things. I'm just giving some examples of the non-sense game.

ANSWER:
Quote:

The Big Bang didn't create the universe. The Big Bang is the universe, from a point where the physical laws became viable to its evolution to what it is today. What existed or what happened before that point can only be speculated upon. It's more likely that there was something before this point, and not nothing, like some infinite process which the universe, finitely or not, is a part of.

How's that for an answer? It's not mine, it's infrablue's. And it was given in the second post. You might have missed it, of course.

So it's YOUR speculation that there was nothing before the Big Bang. Not mine. I for one do believe in a Divine Creator, and I just think (s)he was a bit gassy at the time of the big bang, and (s)he just let 'er RIP! Which would also explain why there is no religious text delving into the reason the universe came into existence, because after all, what religion wants to promote the idea that their God farts?

Ah well you did imply a lot, don't chicken out now.

And you really are missing the point here.

"So it's YOUR speculation that there was nothing before the Big Bang"

No man, I didn't! scientists did! Just proves their stupidty

scientists say 'something' came out of 'nothing'

That's the whole point, man! You can't get 'something' out of 'nothing".

We've had a recent influx of religious nut bags and conspiracy loonies. Why the hell should anyone be enough of a fool as to play their idiotic games? It's like an idiot child on the playground who wants to get into an "is--is not" type of slanging match. I say, ignore the fools.

@OldGrumpy,
No matter how many times OldGrumpy, that it is explained to you that no one has to explain "how" you will still not understand this basic premise.

Short answer, we don't know.

Even if it was explained, I'm doubtful you would understand the explanation, or deny it on principle.

First off, define "nothing".

What does a "nothing" look like?
How do you measure it's nothing?

You don't know.

@chai2,
well just explain how 'nothing' can create 'something".

That's all I ask. Or admit that you can't.

@OldGrumpy,
There you go. There's a course explaining the Big Bang which you have to pay for, but if you want something like that explained to you shouldn't expect people to do it for free.

I'm all for Socialism but that's taking the piss.

I'll readily admit I can't.

I just said "we....don't...know"

So what?

I can't explain why you keep asking the same thing, even after being given the answer, yet here you are, doing it.

Does that mean you aren't asking?
