FAA officials report several recent incidents of commercial airliners experiencing a curious phenomenon... the pilots noted (green) laser beams directed into their cockpits while in flight.
Pilots noted the phenom while in flight and approaching Cleveland, Colorado Springs and Salt Lake City... among other undisclosed locations.
Speculating that such laser beams are used as targeting Mechanisms, some interpret the incidents as potential threats to the aircraft.
Attempts to locate and apprehend the sources of the Laser beams have been unsuccessful...
I saw on the news a few weeks ago that the US goverment suspected terrorists were going to start pointing laser beams into airplane cockpits to distract the pilots and cause crashes.
No word on sharks with laser beams attached to their foreheads though.
A laser is invisble unless it is either shining directly into your eye or shining through something that will reflect it (smoke, fog, etc.).
It is probably those crop circle folks just trying out a new toy.
