It was no dream, I lay broad waking
But all in turned, thorough my gentleness
Into a strange fashion of forsaking
And I have to leave to go, for her goodness.
And she also to use newfangleness.
But since that I so kindly am served.
The explanation as in the book:
Actually, the use of the word ?'also' here might also mean that he himself was practicing newfangleness i.e. he was changing and was mutable all the time. He was also not constant towards his beloved.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
They explained the meaning of ALSO in the text, but what is the meaning of newfangleness, I looked in the Dictionary there is nothing (Oxfords)
Newfangled means newly invented or devised. "Newfangleness" is a construct of the author, and not a word per se. Newfangled is a colloquial usage.
thanks for relpying,
can u give me another example of this word, I mean using it in another sentence.
