Seems like Spielberg has bought a couple in the last few years, but I don't recall whose Oscars he bought. Maybe he bought Harold Russell's?
Macsm11, It was Clark Gable's for It happened one night
Who's the only Oscar to win an Oscar?

I'm going to go with Dr. Zhivago. It lost to Sound of Music.
No. Dr. Zhivago won 5. The movie I'm thinking of won 8 oscars but lost Best Picture to one of the classic movies of all time.
Wizard of Oz is a good guess for BP loser with the most oscars, but wrong. another hint: the film I'm looking for is a musical.
All the King's Men is an excellent guess on the swearing, but damn it's not right. This is a hard one so I'll reveal: ON THE WATERFRONT
No one has guessed on which Best Picture Winner didn't win any other oscars? Hint: before 1950
Equus. I'll guess Grand Hotel for the Best Picture without any other Oscars.
Equus. Cabaret was nominated the same year that The Godfather won. Liza Minnelli, Joel Grey and Director Bob Fossee won. I don't know how many Oscars Cabaret won, but I guess Cabaret.
Yup. Cabaret won 8 oscars but lost Best Picture to The Godfather.
ON the question which Best Picture winner didn't win any other oscars? Grand Hotel is wrong but in the ballpark. Really Strong Hint: it was BEFORE Grand Hotel. That doesn't leave much.
Equus. I'm confused.

The only Award Grand Hotel won was for Best Picture. Help me.
Equus,
The Broadway Melody 1928/9 was the one before Grand Hotel but I think you will find that neither did Grand Hotel (1931/32) or Mutiny on the Bounty (1935)
You are right. My apologies. Excuse me I vant to be halone.
