There is about 20 or 30-minute way from Tianjin's West Station to Nankai University. The taxi driver was a middle-aged man, looking wild and woolly, yet vivid and passionate, loudly speaking. On the road he spoke to us with his perfectly native Tianjinese tone. We mentioned Mr.Chen, and he responded at once -- Chen Shengshen? A big mathematician, wonderful! Every Tianjinese who has ears knows him! What a talent he is! The driver was so proud of Mr Chen, and at the same time he looked around, being busy to find a flower shop in the streets, so that we could buy some to present to Mr.Chen.
