Hi All
As captioned, is it possible to hypenate the following words? If so, where should I include the hypen?
1) Openingsdocumenten
2) Portefeuillegroep
i.e. Openings-documenten & Portefeuille-groep.
Thanks in advance!
Well... I'm Dutch, but we don't really use those combinations of words... that is to say, I have never heard of them before. Anyway, I looked them up in a dictionary, and they were not in it. As a last resort, I typed both possibilities in Word to see what its spell check would do, and according to that same spell check, you can write them without a hypen:
1. openingsdocumenten
2. portefeuillegroep
But I'm not sure... are you certain that these are the words you need?

I know this is an old topic, but I see there hasn't been given an answer yet.
The words 'openingsdocumenten' and 'portefeuillegroep' are combinationwords where 2 words are joined together. Maybe they are not in a dictionary as such, but you can use them anyway.
Hyphenation is possible in more than one way. I will show you where to hyphenate using dashes:
o-pe-nings-do-cu-men-ten
por-te-feuil-le-groep
Good luck.
