What will happen when I report a post?

Fresco is doing nothing wrong. Just skip these posts. They aren't hurting you at all.

In general, usually nothing happens when you report a post. The moderators here have a hands off approach in most cases and many posts that technically violate the TOS are allowed to stand. The hands off approach is fine, it leads to more heated debate and many more personal insults than there should be. But this is a private site, and the moderators can do whatever they want (and the moderators are pretty fair).

But what you are complaining about isn't even against the TOS.

Fresco has bookmarked your post. When you bookmark a thread it ends up on 'my posts' which means it's easy to follow. It's quite a common practice with threads you may have an interest in but do not have anything to say right now.

Btw, if someone is upsetting you, it's not usually a good idea to let them know how much it upsets you, that's not likely to discourage them.

Sadly, Fresco has been reported to the Gestapo by Susmariosep and was round up by the goon squad at 04:01 am. By 04:25, he was summarily judged and his punishment acted upon.

Susmariosep? Don't you feel guilty now for overreacting to a general online practice that existed since the Web version 1.0.

Very sad to observe the demise of fresco, if I may be so bold as to verbalize my socially-acquired observation.*

I reported Sus many days ago for his inane persistent trolling for which he has been banned elsewhere. The 'bookmark' tactic seems to be the only way of shutting off his incessant 'last word moaning'. Whether or not his behavior is indicative of mental problems (and it looks like it), members should take heed that that this is one of the worst infestations A2K has had over the last dozen years, and that includes neo-nazis and jihadis!

Probably nothing. When I first arrived here, there was this moderator who would deal with evil people like fresco, and he would deal with them swiftly and harshly. He always wore sunglasses; the kind with the reflective lenses. It was like looking into the eyes of the Terminator; that is, if you dared look at all. There was this one poster who made mention of another poster's lack of brain cells. Somebody reported him, and he disappeared for several days, and when he returned, he was walking with a limp.

Of course, a lot of us wanted to know what happened to him, but he wouldn't respond to our Private Messages. Plus he was a different poster after that. He addressed everyone as sir or ma'am. It was pretty sad. Eventually he just kinda faded away like a dying plant that's not being watered.

A couple of us who liked the guy decided to do something about the situation because being the smartasses that we were, we knew it was just a matter of time before we would end up being moderated as well, and left with a permanent limp, too. So a couple of us tougher guys came up with a plan. Actually it was all my plan. Due to their lack of brain cells, the others just did a lot of nodding as I disclosed the details to them. Long story short, we tricked him into coming into one of the threads by starting a firefight with lots of loud swearing and stuff. When we were done with him, he resigned his position as moderator, and thereafter walked with a permanent limp . . . in both legs! And like our old friend, he just kinda faded away in time.

So to answer your question, it will do no good to report fresco. And please don't ask me and my posse to straighten him out. After straightening out that moderator, I came to regret my actions. I won't do that kind of thing again as it goes against my principles. However, if you would still like to see fresco suffer for whatever it is you believe he did to you, I know a guy . . .

In an earlier age, the US press termed a guy the "Sperminator" who was a fertility doctor in NY (I think) who charged fees for arranging sperm donations for IVF but kept the money and provided sperms from his own personal supply, using a manual method I believe. He was prosecuted for fraud but a number of the women he successfully fertilized said they were pleased with their babies and didn't think he should be prosecuted. I think he was found guilty all the same.
[Update] Cecil B Jacobson. he was found guilty in 1992 of 52 counts of mail fraud and got 5 years.
[Update - update] There was a movie in 2005 about him. I don't know if it shows him producing the "donations". I wonder if Susmariosep knows him?

At least the mother to be could spring for a cheap hotel room to make the exchange. She's sure saving a lot by not using sperm banks. As long as this guy can prove he has no disease, why not?

A few weeks ago I listened to a very interesting story on NPR re sperm banks.
The medical community has known for ages about freezing sperm, to be used later. But it took good old fashioned "hey, we can make a buck off of this" to get it going.

That's why (at least in the U.S.) sperm banks are mostly located near prestigious universities, and pay the students who come in to donate (if of course they are the type of sperm donor that going to be a popular choice) pretty good money for agreeing to a 6 month commitment of regular donations.

This guy has what it takes, intelligence, health, good looks.

Should they the founders and owners and operators of this forum a2k be happy with the kind of deviation these sperm guys turn a thread into, namely, into talk of sperm?
