I certainly value the life of every one of our soldiers....but since pragmatism about war casualties seems to be the specialty of our current administration and its supporters....maybe it's a good idea in the long run for our soldiers to have to dodge bullets without body armour the same way the people we choose to attack have to....might give a fresh perspective....now if we could just get our leaders into the actual combat.....

Maybe Kickycan should read this post as well.

And just for the record, this photo is about the tamest one in the bunch:

This soldier's vital organs were protected by his kevlar vest. The rest of his body was considerably less lucky.

Imagine, casualties in a war... Who would have thought that?

Now, My question is who are you blaming for this?

Boy, you really do have a reading comprehension problem, don't you?

See title of thread (and nearly every single post).

No, I have no problem with my reading comprehension, I want to see you write it. I would suppose you blame Rumsfeld, or Bush perhaps. That seems to be your MO.

well you could blame the guns and those pesky bullets in them for the killings...... but that would kind of (no pun intended) shoot a hole in your guns don't kill people people kill people theory......hmmmm.... a thorny dilemma for sure......

PDiddly's picture is a result of an explosive device planted by insurgents. Has nothing to do with guns and bullets or your insecurities over other peoples freedoms.

Snide accusation? I certainly made no snide accusation, I merely remarked on your comment regarding thorny dilemma's is all.

There is quite a difference between an IED and a bullet. Surely you learned that in your many years hanging out in bars.

I found a poll:

What was more worthy of Donald Rumsfeld's time than signing condolence letters?

a): Coming up with the occupation plans that cause the letters in the first place

b): Those precious few minutes he needs just to relax, scowl into space, and practice his ninja hands

c): Joining spandex-clad compatriots Karl Rove and Dick Cheney in a secret crime-fighting triumvirate

d): The same, but no crime-fighting, just the spandex

that's pretty uncool mcg. i've been coming back to it for days. what you are saying is that musicians have such a cushy little booze soaked, groupie upolsterd, money festooned life that nothing violent could ever touch them.

1) there used to be a lot of #1. beer's cheaper than cash in the bar biz. then they gave you "bar tickets" for a discount. now, you usually have to pay.

2) groupie sex is too life threatening to take advantage of thanks to the reagan philosophy that "aids is fer queers". thanks ron. glad ya got yours in the good ol' days. kitty kelly said nancy was a pretty happening chick.

3) money?? what's that ? btw, could ya spare an old alter boy a packet of top ramen?

4) a few weeks back, a successful musician that had opened a club, with his own hard earned cash and was in a position to get the best of all the above, got blown away in said club by a section 8 reject marine fresh from iraq, "because he gave him a funny look".

you don't have to like us or respect us. that's cool.

next time try doing your line dancing to silence.
