I have been experiencing itching mainly on my feet and I thought that I may be allergic to coke but then when I cut out all coke products from my diet, I still experienced severe ithcing and redness. Mainly on my feet and hands, however; when I start itching it seems that my neck and arms also start itching. I also developed a rash around my groing, wait line around my pants, arms and hands. I had gestational diabetes and my moms side of the family has a history of diabetes. I didn't know if this is a possible sign that I may be developing diabets?????? Confused, confused, confused.
How about...... going to a dermatologist?
If I was you, I would have already gone to the doc, these symptoms don't sound like something to take lightly....Get to a doc asap!
sounds like hives. they tend to break out in pleaces like wrists, ankles, inner thighs and undersides of arms. I'd suspect that you are allergic to something, whether it be food or something in your home or work place. See a doctor right away because if they are hives, what is on the outside is on the inside as well.
It's very likely you may be experiencing a reaction to your laundry detergent or fabric softener.
I know of people who have experienced similar symptoms (caused by the residue from laudering agents) which ceased after a couple of changes in their routine:
Try doing your laundry in a hypo-allergenic detergent, skip the Downy, and repeat the final rinse cycle when you launder.
(Similar irritations can arise from the use of inappropriate shampoos, conditioners and body cleansers... have you recently switched to a new hygeine/cosmetic product?)
Eek, sounds like an itchy rash to me. That's my diagnonsense!
I thought that it may be my laundry detergent because I had switched at one time for a short period but I got rid of it and went back to what I have used most of my adult life. I have also tried ruling out foods that I may be allergic to but nothing has worked. My mom read in her medical book that an itchy rash around the growing is a sign of diabetes but I looked all over the internet and couldn't find one thing stating that???? Lupus also runs in the family??? I couldn't really find anything about itchy rashes either.
It may be an allergic reaction to detergent. However, it could be a yeast infection. Since diabetes runs in your family, I'd visit an internist, dermatologist and possibly an infectious disease specialist.
If it's a yeast infection, remember, the yeast cells can spread. For instance, the cells may start out under your breasts and then move down your body to other acidic environments.
