Most individual muslims are reasonable people. Nonetheless, the religion itself is a call to lunacy and, if half of what I read is correct, as many as ten percent of muslims are willing to one extent or other, to heed that call. Ten percent of a billion is a hundred million.

In the case of muslims living in muslim countries, having democratic and responsible governments is the best shot at not having the lunatic ten percent rule. In the case of muslims living in western countries, the religion has to either be banned or SEVERELY controlled. That is the realization which many Europeans are presently coming to.

Not really, Europeans are big on freedom of religion and freedom of expression.

Sure, lots of freedom of expression going around, even intolerant extreemists get to express themselves. They're not about to outlaw Islam though.

I never said it had to be banned in all cases. I said it had to either be banned, or severely controlled. If you're going to allow it in a non-muslim nation, then there has to be one official version of it which is tolerated, and no other, and the one official version of it has to be rational and loyal to the state in which it exists.

Sorry gunga, I don't think such a proposal would pass in any european nation. Actually I dont think such a proposal would get muh support either.
