I am 56 years old and have recently run across a possible cause for a neurological problem I have had for years. Growing up my mom scrubbed me with Physohex soap for every scratch, rash, bump, unknown ich, etc that ever showed up on me. When I went to the Pharmacy recently to get some Physohex soap to use on myself for an unknown rash (just like mom would have done), I was told it had been pulled off the general market and was only available by prescription. When I ask why, I was told it was used on children and caused neurological problems, it was only suitable for adults. My problem now is just out of the blue, the right side of my body from my foot to my ear feels like I have a "charlie horse," and is quite painful. To relieve some of the pain a quite aggressive massage of my right foot will "unlock" this "charlie horse." Any thoughts on if Physohex could have caused this, and how to "un-do" the effect.
I have seen various doctors but with no luck other than a possible pinched nerve. Perhaps if I do another visit and mention my history with Physohex this may give the doctor a key to start with. Thanks
A pinched nerve seems more likely than any residual damage caused by Phisohex. Have you had an MRI of your spine?
Yes chartman, you are right to think this was caused by Phisohex. Here is a link i found. There are more if you want them let me know I will post them here.
