Francis, each of us is keeping quiet and hoping we're not next for the full frontal evidence.

hi McTaggies

Have a good time in Germany

FionaB...I do remember snorting quite a bit.

what was that all about? Something ci said about Shackleton eating dogs?

Smile

Would you believe Harlow constituency has still not declared result yet. Absolutely pathetic, I'm gonna go down there and start shouting at them all soon. They're probably asleep. I had no idea a few penguins on south Georgia could vote in Harlow.

Yea, my wife leaves here with the cats, and nothing going but to go to work, and in between check in here, and what do I find? Nothing! Next time I'm coming with her, that's for sure! I wanna have some Schillerwein, too!

y'all have a great one though!

It'll take more than rain to take the shine off your faces. Laughing

Never thought about going to London just because of certain difficulties such a trip implies for me (esp. the visa requirement). And now it appears that I am going to London as an interpreter for our CFO and will be there from 10-th to 14 of May!

It is hardly possible that I can read all the 80 pages of the thread and I am afraid nobody from A2K people who are gathering there knows me, but is it still feasible for me to join? Or am I too late?

Sorry for the long silence but this week my workload was really huge and I could only dream of looking into A2K Sad

Now I have the agenda for the visit. It is really a tough schedule. Unfortunately it does not seem I will be able to see any London's sights except the office where the talks will take place.

Like c.i. I'll be in London on 13th so we could have a minimeet but I leave around 4 pm - are you busy at lunch??[..]

Clary, my lunchtime will be from 1 to 2p.m., but my boss does not speak any English and therefore I am afraid that if her "tongue" leaves her among people who speak a very strange language Smile my job will also "leave" me very soon. I already have rather strained relations with her. So it will be very difficult to meet unless you are going to be in Hammersmith at the same time. I doubt that the time before 9a.m. will suit you. Are you arriving in London on the same day, that is on 13-th? If so, unlucky I am and this day will be really Friday the 13-th. If no, I am absolutely free on 12-th after 6p.m.

SerSo, I'll be returning to London on May 13 for my flight home the following morning. Maybe we can set up a meet place and time for the 13th. I still don't have my train schedule from Brussels to London, so I will keep you posted. c.i.

C.I., May 13-th is Friday indeed because after 5.30p.m. my boss will be dining with two head office managers and I am supposed to be there as an interpreter. Not a very good position for me as they all will be dining and talking and I will translate and watch them dining (it is difficult to eat something while you are interpreting). Do not know when they are planning to finish but I still hope after 9p.m. I can be free.

I am staying at the Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington High Street (do not know exactly where it is but I guess not far from Hammersmith). We can meet there or, say, on Piccadilly near the horses or Eros statue. As far as I can understand it is a traditional meeting place in London. (In Moscow we have a similar one in Pushkin square.) Do you already have your train schedule? Are you arriving to Waterloo station?

At all events I will try to be online.

Best wishes,
SerSo

I'd love to meet up but can't make the 13th. My daughter's coming over from the States for a couple of weeks.

Maybe another time.

Hope a few of you manage to meet and have a great time.

Pooh, SerSo, what a bummer. You come all the way to London and you can't leave the hotel? Sorry to hear that. Your countrymen who made James Bond's life so difficult were not so constrained. Smile

Still, enjoy. Next time, eh?

Everything fine in Germany, except the weather which is cold & wet. Very wet. And very, very cold. Compensated for of course, by the warmth of Walter's welcome.
Off for a nice group meal tonight, to the Jonathan.
