Margo -- and here we sit... like lumps just watching them vicariously. Weren't we the ones who'd originally planned to meet this year... at the Alhambra with Clary & staying at the parador?

Walter -- sounds divine. Hope the weather was reasonable.

Which is more envy-engendering... the delicious bread and Francis having another ear (!), or Walter hanging out with Steve & Ros in GREENWICH.

<sigh>

If anyone went to Kew, I'll just keel over.

ah, Walter is just a silhouette of his former self.

Hey, Piffka and Margo, as least you have been there, done that, bought stuff.

I'm such a green-witch.

And I have only been to Heathrow for two sneezing hours waiting for a plane.
And I know I am lucky in that.
These meeting threads are interesting in that a bunch of us know each other more or less well but somewhat openly when meeting, a sort of adventure, and others are wishers for many reasons.

There is no need, for the interested followers, to make a trip any better or worse than actually happens - happy endings aren't demanded, at least by me. In fact I assume some miserable stuff happens to at least one person. We follow, I think, since we put you in charge of being us for the moment.

Piffka
Alhambra and the parador is April 2007, my landmark year!
Due to my indisposition this year, which caused me to miss this meet (which I had originally intended to make!) I'm not too sure if I'll last to 2007. I really want to do that Spain thing - but not too sure - my illness has brought about a commonsense and reality check - how sad!

However, for some reason. there are quite cheap flights to the US for later this year, so my little brain is ticking over. <but airfares are the cheapest pasrt of a trip!> Have to face a few problems ar home first, but.....

The Alhambra is in Glasgow, Sauchiehall Street. Quite nice, I've been there.
The Taj Mahal is just round the corner, where they serve a mean bhuna lamb.

I will try not to mention extraneous places like the Alhambra again on this thread.

Laughing

Nothing to worry, osso - I changing the topic from disgusting stories about this meeting to something different is a good idea

And I certainly know, McTag, where two Great Kadmandus are situated in Manchester

As said above, the weather has been really fine all over the couple of days, I (we) have been in London - despite some rain during the time we stayed in the pub.

The following pic proves, what we missed

I admit to wishing to be a fly on the wall with the Francis/Dys repartee at the station.

Indeed - that's why Dys and I disappeared frequently (and not for smoking, as one might think!).
