The cobblestones outside my front door are nothing but a nuisance. They keep being replaced when gas and power people dig up the street. Things grow between them and it's impossible to walk on them if you're very young, very old, or favour high heels. I think they should be tajeb Laughing up and nice new tarmac put on.

Must pack today and make sure the leak in my roof isn't going to inundate the computer area - I'm relying on the local council who own the house next door to see why water is coming into my ceiling - they haven't even got the specifications for the tender document out yet - it'll be months more!

This jaunt should be fun!

Okay, my plane is flying tomorrow around 1 pm, and I'm trying to plan my schedule. Is this still the agreed plan?

RECAP:
SAT
5.30 PENDEREL'S OAK, TUBING TO FOUR SEASONS BY 8
SUN
12.30 PENDEREL'S OAK

(and nothing on Friday evening.)

Question for the Londoners: Is Penderel's Oak a small enough place that we can find each other without further arrangements? I know approximately how Walter, Dys, and CI look like, so would probably recognize them. (I'll probably wear a Paul Krugman T-Shirt, "probably" meaning unless I forget to put it in my suitcase.)

Thanks, Walter, but I don't think so Laughing
If Panderel's Oak is a bigger place: are there any reservations made there? If so, under which name? (That would allow us to ask for the table. Just an idea.)

Thomas

Dont you have an A2K hat?

I'll bring one for you...but that mean I'll have to recognise you first....er

So is that really you in your avatar? Or is it a famous German filmstar I never heard of ?

No, the guy on my avatar is Paul Krugman. That's why I have bought a T-Shirt with his portrait on it to simplify the introductions.

OK, Diane and Dyslexia should be whiling away their long wait at the Houston airport right about now.

I tooled around Albuquerque in her car this afternoon after leaving them off. I am no longer afraid of the car that roars...

None of you caught me out on my cobbles in Arizona stupidity, except Diane, who posted about it but lost the post with connection problems. Ahem. We are both somewhat hard of hearing. I could swear she was saying Sedona, Arizona, which is beautiful, I agree. I didn't notice any cobbles there myself, but am the gullible type, so when she described the cobblestones in beautiful Savannah, Georgia and how they were ship's ballast, I was very impressed that they dragged them to Arizona.

Oh, never mind, you had to be there..

Have a beer together on me, eh? (Seriously, send me a beer invoice..)

Thomas- looking forward to making your acquaintance.

It's quite a big pub, but don't worry- if you don't spot us, we'll spot you.

Do I have to wear my hat, the one in the avatar picture? Under the hat, I have greying hair.

(back after breakfast)

I don't think the pub will be very busy in the early evening anyway ... so no problem.

On Sunday when I go to Penderel's Oak I'll confidently walk to the table with the roudiest crowd and say "I'm Tarah, who wants whipping?".

Of course in the unlikely event that it's not you lot, I could have some explaining to do!

Those who have met me before will confirm that I look like my avatar...because it's a picture of me!

I'll PM a couple of you with my mobile phone number, just in case you need additional London help or can't find me!

Bis Sonntag! A Dimanche! See y'all Sunday!

Hi, all!

I'm in London already since this morning.

Had great lunch, shopping, city sightseeing, took pictures.

I'm in a cybercafe in Picadilly, for half a hour.
