I just found this in the Sears Catalogue: pretty classy, don't you think?

This is a pic of Dys with a hair cut. Here he is in all his glory, plus a quote he is fond of:

"...I've labored long and hard for bread,
For honor and for riches
But on my corns too long you've tred,
You fine-haired sons-of-bitches...."

Yes

Penderel's Oak early evening, before meal, would be more sensible.
That will give the tourists time to have a look around on Saturday.

I am meeting Francis on Friday evening also, as I said before, so if anyone else is around, please shout.

Fiona (Mrs McTag) and I will be there Saturday but not Sunday I'm afraid, we have to travel back north on Sunday p.m.

I will be at Walter's in Westphalia the following weekend, insh'allah.

But you'll come both to the Penderell's Oak - your own choice - at 12:30 I hope!

Having looked at the ala carte menu, I see that we can have something delicious without having to spend too much of our budget on food. Ah, the good old days when the dollar went far instead of bust. Really, the prices don't seem out of line at all and we had planned on spending more than we usually do when eating out here in the States, but I still want shopping money and also wish for everyone in the crowd to be able to afford to join us. The restaurant Gautam suggested sounded fabulous, but it was also very expensive. We will be there more for the company, less for the food and entertainment. Speaking of entertainment, will Tarah bring her whip?....

Is anyone else at the stage of not having anything to wear or is it just me? The shopping must start right here, right away.

As I promised earlier, you can all expect lashings of fun.

And what a splendid excuse to go shopping!

Nothing to wear, Diane? I hadn't even thought about it, but we aren't there just as decoration, as long as it isn't jeans, the company and hotel won't mind at all!! Don't give it another thought - unless you want an excuse Smile
I like the costume you are wearing in your avatar, of course...

Alas, despite having several months of notice, I've not managed to retain any money to come Down South for next week's meet.

Sorry about that folks. Here's hoping you all have a great time, and get some good pictures in the Gallery for us to look at.

Sorry to hear that, I've never met a Grand Duke, however penniless Smile Next time, perhaps - or you and McT can organise one OOP NORTH.

Bad luck, GD - however, there's always a next time (and since I'm up North now and then as well ...).

Those, who can't come to Lippstadt can have a look how it looked like two days ago here.

(Of course, others can do so as well Laughing )

Yes. And speaking from OOP north like what I am, that reminds me I have to contact Smorgs who lives quite near me and who should be getting over her honeymoon about now, so we can arrange to have a pint sometime in the not-too-distant future.

Are you people travelling First Class or Business Class?
But I'm still confused, are all of you travelling en masse or you're all just going in different directions? Confused
I'd love to go because I'm the master of partying, but two or three days isn't gonna do it.

I don't know too much about everyone else, but here's my take on that, Duke of Lancaster (I was confusing you with the other Duke for a moment, there)

Some are meeting in London, Saturday
Some are meeting in London, Sunday
Two (at the last count) are meeting in London, Friday
Some are meeting in Lippstadt, Westphalia, the weekend after that
Some are going via Amsterdam
One is going via Stockport
All are travelling separately
Some are going by air, others by train or by car
Some people are common to some groups, some people are common to all groups, but not all people are common to all groups

There are other complications, but I'll leave those out for now.

Happy Sunday. McTag

[Clary, you need your "travel instructions" exactly from where to Bad Waldliesborn?]

Ah yes, I just need the last few kilometres to the hotel or your place
I have an itinerary up to Leave the A44 at junction AS ERWITTE/ANRÃ-CHTE and straight ahead into B55 direction ANRÃ-CHTE, MESCHEDE, LIPPSTADT, [B55] ERWITTE
which I presume takes me pretty near.
I think it takes 2 1/2 hours or 3 from Brussels.

What's going on?

Anyone coming to Manchester?

Is everything happening in London (as usual)?

Very Happy
