Clary, have you ever had a green bagel? My first, and last, green bagel was on one of my very first trips to New York in the 60's on St. Paddy's day. 'Twasn't very appealing...

Yeuch. I'm not overfond of bagels anyway. I once had a Colours Party where all the food was interesting colours, and blue rice was not popular. Green is best kept for salads and veg I think - I have a nice recipe for green fruit salad with kiwi, melon balls, and any others you can think of in a green ginger sauce with green ginger wine in it.

Happy St P's day, and I'm so glad the McCartney sisters are celebrating it with Bush and not the murderer Gerry Adams.

Where's the prince? He's probably the only one that will suggest a restaurant for our gathering in London, so I need to communicate with him - soon. Sheesh, didn't even get an offer for any volunteers....

Pardon me, I have no idea if diane will give you his email if she has it, but she might email him with yours.
Not to be snotty sounding, but security, etc.
Of course this is not my business.

osso, I didn't feel you were snotty at all, but trying to be helpful - which I appreciate. I also have the email address of some of the others, so I have "access" to the prince if I try. Wink

If you were coming up to York, CI, I'd be glad to be of assistance. As it is, I can say with a high degree of confidence that your good self and Walter have both been to London more times than I have. Sorry!

Incidently, I have the Prince's mobile number, so I'll send him a quick text to let him know to check in with you, CI.

I am sincerely hoping that the London meet will be on May 1st as I've agreed to have someone to stay from France in our twinning scheme.

I haven't got anyone's email address... Sad

Well, I'll leave on the 2nd as said already long ago.

Is this date being questioned again?

Same here; it's been over two years since our "first" gathering in London - for me.

Nosy parkers wonder, thinking you guys are as lame as bostonians, re the details. But then it dawns on me, you are smart enough not to put details right up there on the screen, like we in SF did, mostly, til it got to the fine points.

Or maybe that isn't your reason. Maybe you don't know yet.

I know I sound taunting, but I mean that as kidding. Plenty of time.

SF trip was pretty planned. One of the places I pushed was the St. Francis hotel for breakfast. Blush. We all got there and it was some dignified dine-athon, instead of a comfortable coffee shop with big leatherette booths. So we marched out through the SF historic hotel disgruntled (well, they were, and I was y'know worried, as this was my particular fault) and PDiddie zoomed across the street to what looked like a small cafe and turned out to be an immense place with not many patrons and we had one hell of a breakfast and a classic scene with Dys charming the waitress near out of her wits, and she was herself very witty.

I'm just hoping you all actually meet.

I offered to pick a place ages ago.. but everyone said leave it to the prince, who is so busy *anking - sorry, banking - that he has no time to pick a place. Plenty of time, chill!

Don't worry - we'll meet.

What counts is that we have the day blocked in our diaries and will work out the details nearer the time.
