Tarah, we look forward to meeting you. Any chance of coming to Germany or Holland? C.i., Dys and I are meeting in Amsterdam in between London and Germany to see the tulip festival and, hopefully, to meet nimh.

I went for the first time ever to the tulip thing last year ... the tulip fields in bloom themselves are a sight to behold for sure - rent a bike and make a tour, thats by far the best way to see it all - but the actual parade with the floats-on-wheels was a bit of a ... well I didnt find it much of a big thing, anyway.

On the other hand, like I PM'd Dys, if you could at all work 30 April in Amsterdam into your schedule, now then you would really experience something ... Queen's Day in Amsterdam is quite, quite overwhelming ... everyone in half of downtown out on the sidewalk selling **** in what must be the worlds largest open-air fleamarket (typically Dutch to celebrate a holiday by trying to sell stuff), combined with all kinds of open-air stuff, much of it improvised - I mean, what I hear its like its here in Utrecht but then much bigger still, which means music, everything ...

But, I havent read up on this thread, but from Dys' PM I understand you're now planning to be in Holland on May 5, thats a special day too, Liberation Day, way more low-key but still should be some festivals going on

I've heard that! Very Happy

Diane - it does sound like a good group - but I still have some health issues that may not be sorted by May (they may - but I can't be certain), and by the time I know, it'll be too late to book. Mind you -September may not be an option either if the news is not positive.

Besides, I'm giving our mate Kitchenpete time to leave town again! Twisted Evil

Oy, Margo, I worry for you.
Though if you put it off, maybe I'll make it to meet you. Presently thinking October, but maybe early spring 06. I'll be on a budget, schniff, and generally planning on italy, but would hope to meet a2kers somewhere, somehow.

I don't know your health situation, Margo, so I don't know if that sounded absurdly callous. I have great hopes that you will be well.

Osso, thanks
I've given up worrying about it - it'll just have to sort itself out! I've taken all the drugs, followed the recommendations, etc. Nothing much more I can do!

I must add that maybe you told me about your health and I went and forgot (cringe, I hope not). Not to push you to talk about it.

Ok, osso, shut up.

Skipping along, I am always touched when I see Francis' avatar, that dog is especially fetching. I don't always like Jack Russells (sorry), but this one is like a feather of joy.

Schoenen Nachmittag wuensch' Ich Dir auch! Smile

Enough greetings but I'm very much looking forward to seeing you all, whenever you are here.

Any meetings elsewhere in Europe, later than May, are also of interest...that's Margo, Osso and Dag, I think...anyone else?
