Bill Montoe's Christmas song.

Christmas Time's A-Comin'
Christmas Time's A-Comin'
Christmas Time's A-Comin'
And I know I'm goin' home.

Snow flake's a-fallin'
My old heart's a-callin'
Tall pine's a-hummin'
Christmas Time's A-Comin'.

Can't you hear them bells ringin', ringin'
Joy, don'tcha hear them singin'
When it's snowin', I'll be goin'
Back to my country home.

Christmas Time's A-Comin'
Christmas Time's A-Comin'
Christmas Time's A-Comin'
And I know I'm goin' home.

White candle's burnin'
My old heart's a-yearnin'
For the folks at home when
Christmas Time's A-Comin'.

Can't you hear them bells ringin', ringin'
Joy, don'tcha hear them singin'
When it's snowin', I'll be goin'
Back to my country home.

Christmas Time's A-Comin'
Christmas Time's A-Comin'
Christmas Time's A-Comin'
And I know I'm goin' home.

Holly's in the window
Home where the wind blows
The cane foam's a-runnin'
Christmas Time's A-Comin'.

Can't you hear them bells ringin', ringin'
Joy, don'tcha hear them singin'
When it's snowin', I'll be goin'
Back to my country home.

Christmas Time's A-Comin'
Christmas Time's A-Comin'
Christmas Time's A-Comin'
And I know I'm goin' home.

Christmas Time's A-Comin'
Christmas Time's A-Comin'
Christmas Time's A-Comin'
And I know I'm goin' home.

edgar,
Have you published any of your poetry?
I've read a lot of your poems, and they are great. I look forward to your posts.

Edgar, they already started playing xmas songs on the radio here. How about in your neck of the woods?

I play certain Christmas CDs while driving around. Belafonte, Johnny Mathis, Elvis, Nat King Cole and the like. I have one by Cyndi Lauper that only has a couple of cuts I really like.

My grandmother has a nice collection of xmas music. I like Cyndi Lauper, but I don't have any of her cds.

Her Christmas album only sounds Christmassy on a few songs.

Well, she does a very good version of Silent Night. Looking down the list, I forget which others sound Christmassy. There is Rockin Around the Christmas Tree, which I don't remember. And, Feels Like Christmas, which I also don't remember. But, Christmas Conga, and most of the others just don't do it for me.

I saw on the news that Walmart pepper sprayed a crowd of shoppers Friday. As I understand it, they were just slightly unruly, not charging the door, or fighting. Seems they moved forward a bit too much. After a warning, pepper spray was sent into the air above them. The law is investigating the incident.

Yea!! One of my new favorites Christmas traditions!

Where's my cup of hot latte with a little cinnamon-sugar on top.
I like to sip while I savor Edgar's work.

Now go to page one.

I would not be adverse to a verse. I'm thinking to recreate the original thread in its entirety. Much less taxing than composing new work.
