I have to wait a year???????
I only conceived the idea this morning. Plus, why introduce it out of season?
Another Christmas tale of mine, The Wooden Angels, is in a box waiting for the rewrite. Hard to get to everything though. If I could stay away from a2k a bit more it would be helpful. Problem is, I work a stressful job 40+ hours per week and stay too wrought up to write for long stretches at a time.
Writing is time consuming. I'm lucky if I can get a sentence out as I'm constantly interrupted.
I want more than anything else to produce a Christmas work I would be remembered for. I would trade off every other accomplishment.
Very nice, Edgar! These are keepers :-)
Writing is hard on you, Edgar, but not as hard as not writing.
Joe (yeah, I use the "I'm too stressed excuse." too.) Nation
Ah - I recall this thread! It started the year after one that split off from the one of the limerick threads - I wrote a non-limerick without realising it, and the thing just grew! Wilso tried to start a tradition.
These things are fun.
I preserved that thread in its entirety, but didn't reproduce it here because there are so many diverse Abuzzers represented - privacy issue, you know.

D---- B-- Y---- - how mean!
It's t'wards bitterness that you lean;
Though you speak with some truth,
You speak without ruth -
Sometimes there's a truth you can't glean.
Oh, and , Joe, I still do produce one or more new stories per month.
Do your shopping now; spend all of your money.
yay Edgar! I was hoping someone saved (some or any) of this!
I have the entirety of it, lil k.
Christmas is coming
The goose is getting fat
But who gives a **** if we're to eat a turkey?
Glad you bumped it back up.....
Anything to push the holiday spirit.
Geez, it's becoming an all-out war!
I avoid the threads that put down my favorite time of the year. Let the others be glum and sour. I prefer joy.
I'll visit both camps, for me the season is a mixed bag.
