Today is Veteran's Day in the US.
Hug all the vets you know, even, or maybe especially, the crusty sonofabitch who doesn't want a hug.
(I'm not mentioning any names, timber.)
Salute the rest of them and squeeze your eyes tight with hope for the ones still out there under the gun.
Salute.
Joe Nation
Respect and honor for the service of vets alive and dead coming from my way....
I just hugged my vet.
He did save my horse after all.
<<Hugs>> to honor all veterans on this special day.
Hugs and good thoughts for those who have and still are protecting us.

Remembering, sqeezing tight, and hoping.
Thanks.
Big hugs and kisses to all of those who fought, and who still fight to keep this country free.
Bowed heads to those who paid the ultimate price.
It's Remembrance Day here in the great white north. We wear poppies as a sign of respect, do Americans do the same?
In Flanders Fields
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
- John McCrae
Lord God of Hosts be with us yet,
Lest we forget, lest we forget.
