In Focus magazine,it reports that about 20% of teenagers have signs of heart disease.
Tests on some 11-14 years old showed blood vessel damaged commonally associated with cardiovasular disease.
Researchers blmamed poor diet and inactivity.
wow-20%...but only poor diet and inactivity? I'd think mostly other reasons like too much alcohol and taking drugs.
Generally, heart disease is genetic and worsened by poor diet and lack of excersize. Excessive drug and alcohol use make everything worse for your body. I did drugs and drank in school, but not to the extent neccessary to do a lot of cardiovascular damage. I'd guess most students are a little too busy to drink/drug all that much.
Welllllll, the question sometimes is, do whole families, or whole cultures, drink too much and eat too much fat, and not run around enough? (While some drink a lot and eat lots of fat and tend to walk lots?)
I dunno, I come from questionable genes, don't get me started. I'm busy trying to avoid my departed large family of alzheimerics.... nemmee. Never mind with the precise panel levels. (And.... my mother never ever had a drink, and had truly horrid alzheimer's.)
Are panel levels panic levels? not for me so far, but always listening.
Heh, hard to separate out all the components. Especially with some teetotalers not doing all that well.
What is it that we know know, in late 2004? Exercise is usually useful.
And crossword puzzles by nuns.
And, hey, maybe, a2k......
A2K, the Wardoffer.
Only half kidding, and not just for the oldies.
Badboy- Do you have a link to the article? I would like to read it!
