@Leadfoot,
Oh, I am not denying one starting Axiom, so don't poke at it with smart remarks...the starting axiom is "god" being the ground of all Being. After that, I only focus on what it MANIFESTLY cannot be given it is that much.

@Fil Albuquerque,
I’m not one to poke fun at honest effort. What have you found God not to be?

@Leadfoot,
Not a mind, I explained it before and why I think it cannot at all be that. Although take notice, it is the ground for all possible minds...just not itself a mind as a whole.

@Fil Albuquerque,
Sorry, yes you did.
So based on that and other remarks, you envision god as an algorithm, something like a 3D Mandelbrot plot of x = x^2 + N where N = some optimum number.

Is that anywhere close?

@Leadfoot,
Oh yeah, and 'time' could just be drifting of the value N!

@Leadfoot,
I see it as the whole informational pattern in block, the all set, looping. There is no optimal number the whole pattern is optimal.

@Leadfoot,
...and yes time is not fundamental. The Mandelbrot set although important is one among many mathematical tricks still the whole field must be unified. I don't believe in qualitative infinity because that would be infinitely chaotic, but I do believe in a looping boundless finite set of phenomena. It is a fractal because it must repeat itself ad nausea. "Big" or "Small" are just frames of relative reference in the repeating pattern. If you mean that N is the qualitative boundary of the pattern than we agree.

@Fil Albuquerque,
Fresco is a poseur. He pretends to do philosophy but his heart is not in it.

@Olivier5,
Fresco tries to speak from authority, and "I know better", one of the worst kinds of character for any attempt at a meaningful debate.

Max is close to the point but he forgets qualia. The regularities can only exist because the phenomena exist.
(Some associate qualia with minds I do not)

@Fil Albuquerque,
There's worse: his philosophy is not applicable in life, other than by post-truthers and denialists.

Bam! Interesting! That really spells out the difference in our POVs!
Not saying mine is better or right but it does distill the difference in a new way.
And you are right, mind changes everything.

@Fil Albuquerque,
Those first hand accounts of what the return to earth is like after a lengthy stay on the “ISS” is enough for me. That and the shitty lifestyle make space travel totally suck. Some of the after effects are apparently permanent.

Call me when warp drive and artificial gravity is available.
