Ole, Ole, Ole, Ole

Real - Real!

McTag, as a Gooner, I have a huge soft spot for the Light Blues of Manchester. A friend of mine who went to the Arsenal game at Maine Road told me that many of the City fans were standing and singing along with "Stand Up for the Champions" as well as "Stand Up if you hate ManU".

I was very happy to see Fergie's lot lose last night.

Hey it's only a game.

But Real were good, weren't they? Probably the best collection of soccer talent on the planet.

And United were stupid. Fergie's right, the first two goals were "soft" goals, but expertly taken.

I'm looking froward to tomorrow night, when I meet my friends the Reds in the pub.

Yo, Steve
I see Walter gave our coordinates and cyphers
So lets get it on
Fiona's not a big drinker
So maybe she could drive
The Bull's Head in Hillgate sells Robinson's
(Walter knows that place)
Or whereever
Give us a bell
Or some smoke signals
Or a beat on the jungle drums
Drumble jungs
I had a bottle of wine with my tea
Can you tell?

I'm sure, you know it better, but could it be called 'Red Bull' instead of the 'Bull's Head' (Hazel Grove?) McTag?

c.i.

As far as I remember, 'tea' is the common name for the evening meal in England.

Well, I don't know Shocked I turn my back and Mctag is misbehaving!

Yes we know how to live c.i., take away curry and a bottle of wine - a good Australian - for our evening meal. 'Dinner' in some circles but it would be an exaggeration to call it dinner, so tea it was.

I can see I am going to have to get my uniform and peak cap out for chauffering duties again - Rolling Eyes

I've heard that c.i.

It would be brilliant to sample some of your local wine some time. Re the 3 Continent Gathering, thanks for the very kind invitation.

Hi McT and McF

Sorry I never said hello in Stockport....didn't have a lot of time as things worked out

too busy watching the goals go in at St James' Park.

When United play like that we can beat anyone (except Real).

Will give you a bit more notice next WNIA (when next in area) as my boss used to say...

Never mind Steve- and the way things turned out Saturday, we might have needed to play our reserves.

(just like Newcastle must have done Wink )

Apologies - I feel a complete goof!! I took my eye off the ball and replied to c.i. when I should have replied to you. c.i. will have been puzzled for a nanosecond so apologies to him too.!! For some reason I thought it was a remark by c.i. and because of a post he made on a different thread that I had just been on I got my wires well and truly crossed. In my defence c.i. has been talking about his home wines and thats my excuse - feeble as it is. I feel such an expletive, deletive!!

I'm not usually so slow off the mark and yes I have to agree that most Australians are good as are the wines! Did you know from Mctag that I lived in Sydney for 4 years in the late 70's and have just (Nov 01) made my first return trip after all those years. My former boss and friends were wonderful companions and it was as if I had never been away. It was really spooky but wonderful. So many changes but in some ways just the same. I loved going back and would love to make another trip but its such a long way!

Enuf for now

Yes - somewhere along the way McTag did say that you lived here! I accused him of seducing you away!

Don't fret - I saw your posts and thought - "she's almost as confused as I am" Razz
