Proposal 2 in Michigan - Gay Marriage

What a sad day in Michigan history....I thought that Michigan's people were better than that.

Proposal 2 is just an excuse to throw the majority weight around again and infringe on the civil rights of those who are "different". Eveyone I've talked to who opposes it, opposes it for RELIGIOUS reasons. What happened to seperation of church and state? Oh yeah...I guess that only applies when it suits the majority. Was that same-sex marriage?

Ohio had one of those too, seems to have passed.

Ridiculous.

Our constitution states that the government may not institute a single religion. It does not, in any way, prevent people from voting based on their individual religious believes, drawn from many different religious backgrounds, nor should it.
