My, my, the Deadskins game was a shocker. Tip of the hat to george on that one. So Week 2 is behind us and here is how I think we all did (please let me know if you detect any errors. A lot more players this year. I am trying to be careful in the recording of picks etc. but a lot more opportunities for johnboy to screw up.
At 10-6 were region, cowdoc and gus
At 9-7 was fbaezer
At 8-8 were el-diablo, dragon, george and panzade
At 7-9 were jpinmilw, johnboy and bbaptiste
and then there was ray at 5-11.

Bringing in the tiebreaker, region suggested that there might be a total of 27 points scored in the Dallas-Washington game. The total scored was, um, 27. So region wins WEEK 2.
Back to WEEK 1, rjb spaced out on the tiebreaker-forgetting that even though region and panzade wrongly picked Philly over Atlanta, the tiebreaker should have ruled. Since region had predicted 27 points in that game and panzade chose 41, region officially wins that week also since the final total was 24 points scored.
So region has to be stopped, folks. You hit him high, I'll hit him low and, gus, bring your pitchfork.

The over/under ratings (cumulative correct picks minus wrong picks) has region at +6, gus +4, panzade +2; even is el-diablo; and then, underwater, is george, dragon, bbaptiste, cowdoc and johnboy at -2; jpinmilw and fbaeser at -4 and (can this be true?) ray is at -12.

One final note: the experts on ESPN had one guy at 11-5 and one at 10-6 and two at 6-10. The best ESPN picker is, I believe, at +4 through two weeks.

The Week 3 schedule follows. I am going trolling on the Cheesehead thread. I see some folks there who aren't here. I am going to suggest that it could be a long wimter in Green Bay.

There is nothing more pathetic, region, than a New Englander, a Bostonian New Englander, trying to adopt a southern accent. Watch your back, dude. You are marked. When you least expect it, there will be a guy coming at you with a pitchfork. Right there in the middle of Harvard Square.

Man... I'm stinking up the place.

I thinking about not picking the Vikes or GB for the rest of the season.

Dragon: Thanks for the picks but you seem to have left out Tampa Bay @ Green Bay.
For the 3rd week in a row, region goes with 27 points in the tiebreaker. Hmm.

Chicago-Thats right, I picked The Bears at home.
Buffalo-That's right, trouble in Atlanta?
Indianapolis-Colts on their way to home field
Green Bay-Slow down Bucs
NY Jets-Tough to call, I think I'm changing to Jags...Jags win
Philadelphia-Duh
St Louis-Tennesee sucks pretty bad
Carolina-Stephen Davis is healthy
New Orleans-Mckenzie knows The Vikes, and Culpepper throws hella ints.
Seattle-Let's go Seattle
San Francisco-New Blitzfransisco is gonna tear up the statue.
New England-Bellichek makes statements in games, this is a statement game.
San Diego-Diego gets off the snides.
Kansas City-KC is for real, Trent Green will be a top quarterback after this years playoff run. 24-21=45 pnts.

Thanks, Child, but what's your pick in the Jacksonville-NY Jets game. You seem to have wavered mid-thinking.

johnboy, for better or for worse, did a little research this week, and here are the outcomes for Week 3:

Chicago
Atlanta (not very confidently)
Indianapolis
Tampa Bay
Jacksonville
Philadelphia
St Louis
Carolina (not very confidently)
New Orleans
Seattle
Dallas
Pittsburgh (the Steelers are rjb's favorite team. Last year they discovered a fine QB. This year a scampering running back. A well-coached team)
New York Giants
Kansas City (38)
