Our desires manifest themselves as greed or fear. We try to gain or to keep loosing something; life, fame, wealth or power. When the ego overrides the compassion we resort to violence. Violence can be physical, verbal or subtle, like cunningness. Violence has only one aim, to hurt the object of the hate.

Higher the truth we try to reach, more our conclusions diverge from other people's, since our pre-formed beliefs are founded on our passions. This is why most sincere and able persons want to choose different roads to reach the same goal.

@ashwin723,
I would say pretty damned close.

My only quibble is in regards to "greed"

I'm not sure "status" and "greed" are quite the same.

It may just be semantics, but "greed" has a connotation that I don't think works well within zoology.

@Finn dAbuzz,
One possible cause for violence;

When the person in front of you at the grocery store has fifty coupons and the clerk looks them over after ringing up everything only to discover half of them are expired. So the person wants those items removed from the balance making the clerk have to find the items and rescan them to delete them. Then the person struggles to dig out change to have enough to pay the total.

@Krumple,
And then they try to pay with New Zealand food stamps and Canadian identification?

@roger,
New Zealand does not subject its benefit claimants to the humiliation of food stamps, it's a very civilised country.

Oh, okay. Sure would be frustrating to be behind one in an American supermarket, though.

@roger,
I doubt a benefit claimant from New Zealand could afford to travel to America, but I can see the frustration in standing behind someone attempting to pay with something that doesn't exist.

@Fil Albuquerque,
There's a short story by Malcolm Bradbury about a group of people who try to stop murders set off by temperature. According to the story there's an optimum temperature for killings, any cooler then level heads prevail, any warmer and it's too much effort. They're staking out a particularly cantankerous man on the day the thermometers hit that temperature. I can't remember how it ends.

Well
1. Every few years the US election have a "perge". It has been the thing since 2001 and the fact Bill Clinton "lied" despite Hillary gave him women to sleep with.
2. Racism because they did not re-emberse those slave owners and created a new kind of class of poverty stricken people ( see Southern Poverty center for more info ). Those farmers did not have those workers and further more could not afford to hire employees.
3. Selfishness paired off with stupidity. Like parents who compete with there children.
4. Corruption in the Catholic Church as with LGBT from the people of the cloth. See the guy who would not step down recently after being caught in a homosexual party and even lawyers for women and men of the cloth.
5. Women stepping out of their place and not respecting and loving the men that would and could do more for them if they would grow with them.
6. The fact you go to look for work and take morons holding people back and thus causing more problems then usually.
7. Discrimination of people via various ideas I mention.
8. The fact people have a five second memory span and that scumbags ( politics ) keeps trying and trying again. I mean all of these morons ( as with the central banking party ), keeps on #@$$#$ up stupid.
9. High Carisma + low-iq = person who sees violence as a means of solving a problem. That being said people who calculates in terms of using violence as a resolution.
10. When you remove factors of freedoms that encourages violent behavior.
11. Not being able to function correctly because people above you are holding you back in which leads to an emotion breakdown over time.
12. Being able to do something and then not working with people.

@PoliteMight,
Yeaaaah, that's all nonsense.

Someone made a pie chart of violence by faith group.

https://eadn-wc03-3087917.nxedge.io/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/wars-pie-chart.jpg.webp

As you can see, Islam is more violent than all world religions put together and lack of religion is over 10x more the cause of violence than religion.

This is not to say, "Most wars have not been about religion but some secular idea." As tempting as that concept may be. It is to say that religion is a quelling force against the darkness that is secularism.

Think about the secular ideas that came with the rise of agnosticism and atheism. Darwinism (the fittest survive -> the fittest should survive -> eugenics and social Darwinism -> Nazism), Marxism, destructive weapons, science for its own sake and not for the good of humanity, out of control EM radiation (5G is reported in some circles as killing birds, yet we persist in developing it anyway). All of these things kill people. All of them have been on the rise since religious culture has fallen. Almost as if there were a death cult or something...

@jcboy,
I don't "follow anyone around" I comment occasionally on Religion and Politics threads. The former I usually fill blocks.

That you think I'm a nutter means you don't think. There is a definite course of action from the non-religious elite to oppose God. They do it because they like to control or hurt others, or out of misplaced guilt that the Earth is a china doll and we are parasites. But have established this Earth so that it cannot be moved. It is alive, and it heals. These images? They're of other people's nuttiness. Rhey show us what they are going to do. But they will fail to make any difference in God's plans.

Your asking a very simple question.
1. Selfishness
2. Being told you have to do something and then being told not to do it, where people will argue of what they should and should not do.
3. Manipulation of capitalism via the Central Banking Party, Trusts, big businesses, Monopolies.
4. The fact an economic structure becomes dependent on a resource.
5. Being too charitable and burning income in the wrong direction. Like on a selfish person or a dependent relationship.
6. Climbing a mountain and then coming down the mountain only to be attacked by the people you once knew as friends.
7. Not being thankful for the people you have in your life.

...............

Violence ? lets see.

1. Civil-rights then came the 1980's. The reality this was started because of racism.
2. George Floyd riots, protests, and marches. I am not kidding you in one state they turn on the hose. Why? One cop who had reality, married to a Miss Universe runner up, and money in the bank had to be above the law via a man who lost his job recently as a security guard over $20.
3. Oh wait I know because of the Rap music being promoted by obvious people of Jewish origin and then the Zionist supporters who could careless about the fall of Libya, Afganistan, Iraq, Iran, asides for Yemen. Then all these idiots say "R#$@#$ black people" after having to deal with rap and hip-hop nutjobs trying to run-your-pockets, to getting mad for saying "good morning"
4. Oh I know. Comedy. Making fun of things and marketing skits in peoples minds
5. No wait propaganda AKA News at 10 "do you know where your kids are" rubbish.
6. Oh I know a group of reporters are being held against their will and somehow these people who literally tossed their government in the garbage did not expect there to be return fire??? It is like it was planned all along, and now Russia got a piece of Ukraine ( and people ). US burning money into it.
But again they all were apart of the Soviet Union and many are cousins and relatives.
7. Lets not forget about the people in Africa and South America being terrorized to the Eskimos. Then "Oh Canada" has a thing against blocking money to protestors I mean seriously we need to vote Trudie ( Trudy ) out.
8. Making mandates forcing people to quit there job or find other methods of employment.

@PoliteMight,
Once again, wrong.

1. Human beings have a right to their own autonomy. Wanting nice things is not a crime. The people who throw the word "selfishness" around are often the worst sort of thieves. It is envy (the root cause of socialism) not greed (the key trait of capitalism) that is the real problem. What is a problem is being ostentatious with one's wealth. Even if rich, one must practice modesty and self-restraint.
2. Violence is not because of being unsure between rules and chaos. It is usually a result of a central state trying to force such rules down the public's throat.
3. Absolutely no violence is caused by capitalism. But plenty of violence is caused by envious socialists who tell us they don't need money. Bullshit, they want money that people worked their whole life for without having to work.
4. You actually go one right. Sorta. Money must be backed by a resource (gold/silver/mythril/unicorn feces) or there is out of control inflation. Out of control inflation means prices get out of hand. Then food costs billions. What you got right is that basic food, water, and housing should be free. But they should be very basic and affordable by businesses as a charity. This idea of having the government do it means higher taxes.
5. You cannot be too charitable, just as you cannot be selfish for wanting what is good for you (what is selfish is when you can want beyond your means or beyond limits; i.e. the difference between wanting to try escargot and earning a nice car, and stealing cars cuz you can't afford, or eating to the point of depletion). You are confusing fake charity, that is "charity" with strings attached for real charity. Let me give an example. The church has to cut back because they give their money to the poor, they are too charitable but nobody is upset. On the other hand, the state is very "charitable" but they are actually using your tax money for this, and their aim is to get voted for. Ultimately, this charity causes them to raise taxes, and this cycle continues until people starve.
6. What the **** are you talking about? If someone is your friend, they won't attack you because you climbed a mountain.
7. This is not a source of violence. It just means you're grumpy all the time.

The cause of violence is criminal elements and the state. Big state means the government tries to force people to do things at gunpoint. Too much crime means the masses do. Both are supported by the left. Leftists are thugs.
