Hi, I just saw this sentence in "FRIENDS". A student said "He is yanking your chain!" to his lecturer. According to the content, I guess he is trying to say "he is cheating you" or "he just wants to use you". Right?
Is this sentence a slang? Thanks your reply in advance.
Hi and welcome to A2K
Yanking your chain is the same as teasing someone, or playing a prank on someone.

"Yanking your chain"--controling you like a dog on a leash.

Not just controlling, but getting you worked up for his own enjoyment. Jerk on the dog's chain, make him angry, back away so that the dog can't get at you...
