Do I say Mystery Book or Mystery Books when I'm categorizing it?

Dan for the old or lazy (me) you might identify the book and define 'it'

Normal procedure would be
mystery book if there's only one and
mystery books if you have more than one.

Yea Stur that was my reaction also, but I think dan is asking a deeper q of some sort
